About Little Joe's BBQ

Little Joe's BBQ in Pearsall is highly praised for its authentic Texas barbecue and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors often describe the meat as perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, flavorful, and sometimes so good it melts in the mouth. The brisket, ribs, and chicken are standout choices, with the brisket being smoky and rich, and the chicken moist and salty. The sides, such as potatoes with brisket and mashed loaded potatoes, are made fresh and are highly recommended, with some describing the potato salad as exceptional. The barbecue sauce complements the dishes well, adding extra flavor. Desserts like Blue Bell ice cream and apple dumplings are appreciated for their homemade taste, reminiscent of grandma’s recipes.

The owners are noted for their kindness and passion, making customers feel appreciated and cared for. Many reviewers suggest that the care put into the food is evident, and some even believe the recipes should be protected or featured on the Food Network. Visitors emphasize that stopping here is a must when passing through Pearsall, with some stating it’s the best barbecue they’ve ever had—better than top-rated places in the state. Overall, Little Joe’s BBQ offers a delicious, home-cooked experience that keeps people coming back, making it one of Pearsall’s tastiest and most loved barbecue spots.
