After reading other reviews, we decided to try the AlpIne Lodge for our one night in Pecos, TX. So glad we did. We had, perhaps, the best server we have encountered on our trip across the state. Her name is Des and she was outstanding. Always smiling, she made sure we had a pleasant and enjoyable meal. My husband tried the chicken Cordon Bleu at her suggestion and was very pleased. I enjoy dining here. I love the buffet and salad bar and they also have food to order off the menu. Chicken Fried Steak is delicious. Soup and salad bar as well. Homemade desserts on deck. Yum..Not to mention a great bar and delicious drinks. Mexican candy shot is so delightful. The atmosphere is quite welcoming and good music.
