Been here many times and it's always delicious. The only downside is their hours.

I've been getting occasional lunch here for several years, it WAS great. In December I brought out of town family and it was not quite as good and I'd been hyping it. Today it was even more mediocre. The flavor just isn't there anymore. My brisket was just a chunk instead of slices. The jerk thighs had barely any rub. The ribs have more sauce than you'd expect in Texas and they needed it.After this disappointment I learned the original owner brought in partners in in December and died in January. It's the new owners that are not up to the task. The parking lot used to always be full at lunch, today it was barely half full. I'd call that a fluke, but there were fewer employees inside as well, so it has to be a trend and I'm not crazy about the quality decline. If the new owners read this, pull back any changes you made, figure the pit out, otherwise you're going to go out of business.

Eating some Texas BBQ was on our visitors from out of state list of must dos in Austin. They were not disappointed by our delicious lunch here. I will bring all of our visitors here for BBQ.

Soda machine dispensed disgusting black flakes in drinks, saw someone drop trays in the trash on accident then continue to use them, and food all seems to be kept at room temp. ?

We tried the three meat plate - price is very reasonable but quality is so so. The brisket is dry - unlike some of the review pictures you have seen. The Bouldin sausage is interesting but not to my taste. Pork rib is actually the best. The spicey bbq sauce is good. So overall, with the price, it is okay but I won't return.Don't recommend the mac & cheese, nothing special about it.

This place has been on my list for some time since I learned about it in the middle of last year, and it's something you have to look for, especially driving on pecan street. Definitely got excited before coming to this place yesterday around lunch as there was a good number of customers around. The service was amazing as the cashier was friendly and didn't make me feel rushed to order my food and offered a few of their favorites, I ended up getting the three meat plate with brisket, pulled pork with ribs with my side of the collar greens as well the parmesan green beans, then an order of the turkey as well brisket boudin. Now, the food I was mixed about as the looks had me excited, so I tried the collar greens first just to spit them out because they were too sour, and all I could taste was vinegar as I Instantly knew they weren't cooked long enough or maybe not washed fully, the green beans were good. Different from what most places are offering, but on to the brisket boudin sausage as I never tried them, as the texture and flavor was decent, I only had a few more bites with the sauce and without the sauce to get a full experience of each meat. The turkey was good and tender with a little amount of seasoning but still tasting juicy. The brisket was okay as it was tender but no real smokey flavor. The more I ate as I lost interest in them, the pulled pork didn't have anything different with or without sauce, but after two bites its just pulled pork. The ribs were good with a little smokey flavor as well tender, but the sauce isn't my favorite personal since they probably have a Vinegar based as I didn't think the sauce enhanced any of the flavor off these meats and without could help it. But for the convenience of this place, if you're getting gas or across dollar general, I'd stop in to try something else on their menu next time.

Overall this was pretty good bbq, not sure it's top 50 worthy. Lean brisket was tender and pretty moist. The boudin could have used a little kick or something to add flavor.Definitely had some sanitary concerns. A lot of restaurant supplies laying around and loose bread slices in a Rubbermaid storage tub.

The barbecue here is absolutely top-notch. Having this place right in Pflugerville is a real treat. As someone who eats a lot of brisket, I can confidently say theirs is among the best. The sides are equally impressive, especially the Asian cucumber salad, which is phenomenal. Don't miss out on the potato salad and the tater tot casserole either—they're delicious. I highly recommend this place!

TLDR - Add a note to delivery orders to pack BBQ sauce and bread and do not be surprised if it still does not make it into the bag.The BBQ and the sides are absolutely extraordinary, but your wallet is gonna feel it. The place has gotten very pricey. The staff is pretty rude. We ordered a $280 delivery (incl tip) and it came with no BBQ sauce or bread. When we called they blamed the delivery guy for not packing it and said they told him to, so it was not their fault since sauce is self-service. We ordered directly from the Brotherton's site, not Uber Eats. There is no option to check that will tell the driver to pack the sauce and the bread, and honestly expecting a driver to do that is just ridiculous. The first person we talked to was infuriating. They kept saying the same thing over and over like I was not getting it. I was getting it perfectly...they were not getting it. I placed a large order and they could not even take an extra minute to make sure we had the basics like sauce and bread. They actually hung up on us as if we were doing something wrong by complaining. When we called back we got a manager who was much more pleasant to talk to, but even she could not understand at first why telling a random delivery driver to finish packing our order on the way out the door was not a good process. At least she was not as infuriating as the first person we talked to because by the end of the call it seemed like she understood they needed to do better so they get 2 stars for service instead of one.Bottom line is the BBQ at Brotherton's is amazing and the sides are over the top awesome, but they really need to work on customer service because experiences like this just ruin it. A $280 dollar delivery order should never go out the door without sauce and bread. It really felt like we got only got half the order...I did not want to ruin the meat with some stale store bought BBQ sauce from the fridge so we ate it dry. It's still good, but not the same experience at all.

I don't understand the good reviews! A place with poor hygiene, there are a thousand places to go before this place. The staff touching the phone, cutting the meat, charging I don't think their hands are clean. In short the place is very shabby!

For me, personally, this is right behind Blacks for being the best BBQ in Central Texas. The food is incredible and the sides are amazing.

Absolutely the best ribs and brisket I have ever had ( and I am super picky about bbq) . Seating is sparse and mostly full whenever we go.

I went here with my girlfriend this past Saturday afternoon. They were busy, and we got a table for dine-in + some extra brisket to go. I’d say that the brisket and brisket melt tasted great. The mac and cheese was below average, and cornbread casserole was pretty good. The mild sausage was flavorful and juicy. Overall, the food was a good 7.8/10, but I am deducting a little since the 1 meat plate seemed relatively pricey for the portion size that we got.
