“When you think of a donut it is hard to find shops that make them to order. The Texas size donut is about the size of a half sheet tray. I have a few favor donut places in Illinois and Indiana where I am from. But these donuts at Round Rock will give any donut place a run for their money. The staff is super friendly and they are fast, efficient, and affordable. I highly recommend you come here if you’re in the area.“

“My niece Kayla and I walked into Nothing Bundt Cakes with the baby Kori, fully big-backed and wide-eyed, staring at all the bundtlets like they owed us money. Did we really NEED cake? No. But word on the streetz was there were new Valentine’s Day offerings, so there we were.

Kayla, creature of habit, stuck with the White Chocolate Raspberry. IYKYK. I locked eyes immediately with the new Biscoff Cookie Butter cake and it was over for me. One and done. I had rewards points through the app and I didn’t want to blow them all in one visit, so I bought one cake and used some of my points for the other.

Shoutout to our server (receipt says “Luxe C” but I wish I’d asked her name) who absolutely looked out for me and charged me for the cheaper cake while letting me use points on the more expensive one. That’s elite customer service right there. I SEE you, I APPRECIATE you.

COOKIE BUTTER CAKE VERDICT/GRADE: B+

The cake had balance without feeling overwhelming. It was absolutely Biscoff cookie butter in flavor without tipping into cloying and artificial. Balanced without too much “sweet on sweet” each bite. The cake is also slightly dense in texture, which I love, but only if it’s moist. And this one was moist. There are biscoff cookie pieces throughout the cake, adding more to the texture and flavor, and the spice level of the cake is spot on. Definitely an enjoyable dessert all the way through without becoming too much.

Personally, I wouldn’t have minded a thin layer of cookie butter and cream cheese running throughout the center, but the topping alone was enough and it easily spread over/into each bite.

Note: Years ago, I had a rough experience at this location. Completely different vibes now. The current team is warm, joyful, and genuinely kind. Whatever changed, keep it. And thank you.“

You can tell everything is baked fresh with care. Poindexter Confections is super professional, prompt, high quality and her prices are very reasonable. We had to reschedule our big wedding for July 2021, but she still made us a cake for our minimony on our original wedding date of June 2020 and we were so grateful for that. We finally got to have our big celebration and she put together a dreamy dessert spread for us -- a modern bride’s cake, a realistic drum groom’s cake (my husband is a band director and he was so excited about his cake), mini cupcakes in four flavors and two kinds of cookies. “We worked with Rhonda for our wedding cake and she was so helpful! She made suggestions as we picked flavors for the tasting and the cupcakes were super cute!! We ended up picking 2 flavors to serve at the wedding: vanilla cake with raspberry filling and rose frosting, and rosemary cake with strawberry filling and vanilla frosting. Rhonda was super communicative, answered all of my questions, and coordinated delivery to the venue. All of our guests loved the cake - it was beautiful and tasted so good!“
