“I landed here when my husband swore he saw a Verve Coffee shop when he drove by. I'm a coffee snob and Verve coffee is literally the best of the best (in my opinion). We looked it up and couldn't find anything online. We even called Verve coffee's headquarters and they confirmed that there is no verve coffee shop in Austin. (It's a California company) After some investigation we found out that this is a coffee spot inside of the Capital One bank building! A little different but we went inside anyways. I had a honey lavender latte and it was DEVINE! The barista was super nice. They will try to get you to sign up with them (you get 50% off everything if you are a capital one customer), but they weren't annoying about it or persistent at all. Just very friendly. Kind of a cool concept actually. Anyways we are glad we stoped by. We don't live in Austin but we will be back next time we are in town.“

“I'm not one for sweets, but I'll always have room for these cupcakes! My wife and I walked inside because she wanted cupcakes and very quickly after talking with Olga I also wanted one. Olga was fantastic and so easy to talk with. She was super helpful in deciding which one to get after we asked her what her favorites were. “My family and I have been ordering cakes from here for years and they never disappoint. They have a good assortment of flavors and options for different occasions. The cakes are always moist and delicious and best of all fresh. They are always ready on time and can even be ordered the day before. If you aren’t a baker or just don’t have time to bake and decorate a cake this is a great alternative. The location is also convenient for me. Just add ice cream. :)“
“I discovered this place a long time ago and hadn't been there in since before the pandemic. My mistake!They have some of the absolute best sandwiches and prepared meals you're going to find in Austin. No joke!It's a casual little deli with not a ton of seating. Show up at lunchtime and you'll have a long line because the regulars know this place and come back often.The sandwich selection is nice and they'll customize any sandwich anyway you want it. I had one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I've ever eaten there today. There's a nice selection of breads and additions.They have all sorts of great prepared meals like chicken pot pie, King Ranch casserole. They also make really excellent empanadas. I brought home a chicken pot pie empanada to have for dinner today.Least I forget, there's incredible baking going on there. They have the best chocolate eclairs I've eaten in Austin. Many other homemade right there desserts. Unfortunately I don't eat sugar anymore, so I can just stare at them with desire.Try this little, hidden gem, you will not be sorry!“

“Nothing Bundt Cakes is reliably good, if not great, whenever you need a birthday cake, a quick pick-me-up for a friend (a bundtlet makes a great last-minute gift). or dessert for a large party (bundtinis, ftw). Regardless of size, the bundts have a generous frosting to cake ratio. I find the cake a little too dense and a teensy bit artificial in flavor, but I'm picky when it comes to baked goods. The non-chocolate options, especially lemon and snickerdoodle, pair best with the cream cheese frosting. A tip: If you sign-up for their rewards program, you'll get lots of great BOGO and free birthday treat deals.“
“We love Hayley's cookies. In my opinion you won't find better tasting decorated cookies than hers. They're like a sugar cookie shortbread hybrid. They're SO GOOD. I enjoy the regular drop cookies too. I've ordered many birthday cakes- which I find the cake to be too dense and not good, where I prefer a softer fluffier cake, however I still buy knowing this because the designs are so cute and often affordable, but they do end up being a centerpiece rather than completely getting eaten. I find the icing to be a little too sweet for my taste, but again, that's just my personal opinion and I know many people enjoy it. The cinnamon rolls are fabulous. We like the kolaches when they're available. We did have an instance where my fiancé tried to order me a birthday cake and they quoted him $200 and I thought that was a bit high because I regularly order cakes from here and while I know inflation is happening right now, there's no way it could have jumped that much, so I submitted the same cake inquiry and I was quoted $90. I found it to be funny; it's kind of like when I go to the mechanic for an oil change and then they start trying to uncharge me on things I don't need because they think I don't know better, well it seems like that's what they were doing to him lol I also wonder if they can see by my email and phone number how much I've ordered and that he never had, but who knows. I'm still a repeat customer and I take out of town friends and family here whenever they visit because these cookies ARE famous.“
“Stopped in here for a pick-me-up on a gloomy rainy day after school, and wow! The atmosphere was so beautiful and bright and exactly what I needed! It lifted my spirits. The dark chocolate sea salt cookie was delicious, and my daughter loves the brownies here. Every little dessert in the display looked beautiful and delicious, and I honestly want to try every one. This is a great place to stop and spend a little time while snacking on sweet treats.“
