Honestly, this was the worst injera I've ever had. It was shii, hard, and tasted stale. I wouldn't order it again.

This place is as charming as the staff. Wonderful people, wonderful food. Even the atmosphere adds to the vibe. Such a happy place!
I tried the Lamb Tips and the Kitfo and both were great. I did prefer the Lamb Tips in their delicious sauce with onions and tomatoes, excellent spice level. The Kitfo was smoking hot and incredibly delicious, a ground beef delicacy with a double dose of spicy.
100% going back. The staff was so charming it would feel like seeing old friends. Much love 🧡
We've been coming here for years, and it's one of our absolute favorite restaurants. It's family-owned, and everyone is so welcoming and genuinely kind. The restaurant is always spotless, the service is consistently friendly and attentive, and the food is outstanding every single time.
Our favorites are the zemamojat, the doro wat (Ethiopia's national dish), and the kitfo—they're all absolutely delicious and full of incredible flavor. Whether it's your first time trying Ethiopian food or you've loved it for years, this is the perfect place to experience it.
We've brought friends here many times, and it's always a hit. If you're looking for amazing food, warm hospitality, and a wonderful family-run restaurant, you won't be disappointed. We can't recommend this place highly enough!

Woinee just hooked my office up with an incredible spread of different supremely delicious items from their menu for our Juneteenth celebration. Everyone LOVED it. At least 80% of the office never had Ethiopian before (whereas I eat ToE at least 2x a month lol), and they were all super impressed. Made me really happy too that they filled tupperware to take some home to share with their families. Thank you again Woinee and the rest of your staff - this was awesome!!

Took me almost 15 years to finally try this place and I'm glad I did. I've read about them in the Community Impact, online reviews, and social media but for some reason I never made the time. They survived COVID, a bad economy, stiff competition, and that says a lot. All I'm saying is they gotta be doing something right, right???!
They are doing a lot of things right. The food, the service, the atmosphere...it's comforting it's welcoming it's heartfelt. It's unique and it's not at all what you would expect. The food tastes incredibly simple even if you can't pronounce the name of the dish. We got the ultimate sampler (all veggies) with doro wat (chicken) which comes with a side of injera (pancakes). They're there to sop up the juices and have no flavor of their own. Doro Wat had familiar flavors and had some spice (heat) that wasn't overwhelming. All the veggies and lentils had simple but great flavors; butter, ginger, turmeric, and garlic. Nothing crazy... just comforting (and filling)
We mostly ate with our hands but that was by choice. The hostess provided utensils and an education without judgement.
Will be back again soon!

Birthday dinner at Taste of Ethiopia I is a treat as always. Amazing food, wonderful service, friendly people, small shop. This has been a favorite place since 2014. Eat here, get the coffee, try something you normally wouldn't. It's all good.

What an amazing Ethiopian feast! We ordered two meats and the vegetarian sampler. The injera was delicious! Barkot was our server and she made excellent recommendations. We will be back.

My family and I visited this place for the fifth time, but this time with more relatives so the gratitude was included in our check ($25) which my wife wasn’t aware of went tapping our debit card. My wife gave another tip (another $25) since she didn’t know it was included and then realized what it happened and asked for a refund since it was $50 of a tip and the lady refused to give it back, saying it was noted on the receipt.
I cannot believe she saw when my Wife was entering a tip on the cart reader, and didn’t mention that it was already included. Terrible customer service especially being long time customers. Won’t be coming back.

Food was good! Coming from an asian background, it did have very familiar flavors. Going off of that, nothing was mind blowing to me but I liked the options in the vegetarian menu. The sambusas were okay, a little too oily. but very fresh. Portion size for the platter was huge. Service was also great.
