This place used to be much better, but has not been the same since COVID. They’ve lost most of their staff and customers. I was there last night and there were hardly any customersI had fajitas. They were almost flavorless except the excessive salt. I was surprised to find more squash on the plate than meat and chicken. I like squash but it was way too much. Table side guacamole was not good either
I was here on 9/29 after 5pmI would to say that the food was very good and the services was great. The waiter and greeter treated me so kindly. I was alone but they was so attentive to me. So I didn't feel alone while I enjoyed this great food and drink. I wish I could give you a 10+plus.
Food was tasty enough but not spectacular. The tropical fruit salad was good. Chips were a little heavy with oil. Beef fajita meat was tough but tasted okay. Not bad just average. I would probably come again just to try something else.
Maybe it was a bad night...we have had great dining experiences here in the past. The service was good, but the food was average. We both got Javier enchiladas. The chicken was tough and dry. I thought maybe it was left over from another day. We went here because our all-time fave (El Norte) has gone downhill with the retirement of original owners. Soooo...I will resume my search for a new favorite TexMex. Anamia's isn't it. ?
Party of 9 had a great evening with excellent food and service. Everyone had different items and no one was dissatisfied wit their choices. Guacamole was made at tables ide was amazing ? ? ? ? ?
My friend and I went to have dinner here. I had never been. I liked the food and service. I ordered enchiladas verdes with beans. I gave the restaurant a 4 for the atmosphere. I think it should be brighter and more fun. The atmosphere was dark and the light was dim.
Stopped in for Halloween night dinner. Food was ok. Drinks were better. Service was good. Would visit again!
Service is always just okay. Good in never very good. Drinks are pretty good. Only coming here for a drink with a client and only because the location is convenient. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have no other options. The fajita salad has no seasoning, just cut lettuce and some cheese on top with a few thin, overcooked slices of beef.
Always excellent food. The tableside guacamole is the best. I usually get the chicken enchiladas, which are amazing, but this time I also got their much raved about brisket taco....WOW!
The atmosphere was beautiful. When we arrived, we had to stand around and wait for the hostess to return to the front desk. I highly recommend the Juanita and beef fajitas on the grill. Most of the items in the Tex Mex section of the menu is a cheesy mess and contain various combinations of the same ingredients. I would say my experience was ok.
Restaurantji Recommends
Went to dinner with my wife and daughter and the Vietnamese waitress was extremely RACIST! Would not ever make eye contact with me and would only talk to my wife who is white by the way. Which was unbelievable, and Would not talk to me when asking us what we would like to order. The food was good but her service was unacceptable . Was very attentive to the table next to us , and we had to literally had to flag her down complete racism! We will not be eating there again. So the 89.00 tab was left with no TIP!!!!!! so learn to treat people with respect and kindness
My mom and I ate at Anamia’s today for lunch, and we really enjoyed it! The restaurant is clean, friendly service, and the food is outstanding. They have an excellent selection of lunch specials, and we received our order within 5 minutes. I definitely recommend going there!
Good food! Excellent service
This particular Anamia's Plano, Tx location has great potential, but has some of the most arrogant and incompetent managers I have ever dealt with. There is a huge percentage of employee turnover rate.?Multiple overworked employees have resigned for better opportunities, reasonable take home pay of more than about $12 hr, and family time. Managers refuse to hire more bartenders. Usually, there is only one bartender for the entire restaurant; maybe two on Friday and Saturday. Bartenders have to juggle serving tables while they make drinks for actual servers, causing customers to wait/complain.?Some employees don't care about quality control for food delivery and proper food presentation. Furthermore, many drink cups/wine glasses have stains and water spots. But, they want you to pay premium prices!?
I love the queso, hot sauce and chips. My favorite dinner is the cheese enchiladas and an ice cold beer.
