The food was good, but not great. The style of curry is sweeter. The meat had the texture like it had been frozen and quickly thawed. Still does a decent job to hit that curry spot. Service was great and friendly.

I was surprised and delighted to see a local chain from Kanazawa, right near my family’s home in Toyama Japan, pop up a franchise within a mile of my work. Of course I had to give it a try!

I ordered a standard Katsu curry with some gyoza and cheese. The curry was a bit on the sweet side and exactly how I remember it from a flavor perspective. The katsu was excellently cooked and quite delicious.
I ate too quickly to take pictures, which I believe...

This was my first time trying Kanazawa curry. The sauce is much darker and thicker than typical Japanese curry, but I didn’t experience the richer, sweeter flavor it’s known for. The umami flavor was also lacking. There are a few areas for improvement:

1. Increase the amount of curry sauce and deepen its flavor.
2. Provide Fukujinzuke for free with the curry.
3. Offer a spicy version of the curry.
4. Serve the curry on real plates...
