Great Filipino food, cheap, and friendly service.
Love the adobo, fish and rice very good customer service at Luvie's. Their Filipino food are awsome.
Home cooking at its best all traditional Filipino foods and deserts…….enjoy enjoy must go and visit
We really enjoyed this place! We had gone to ORC and Taste of the Philippines the day before. ORC was packed and we couldn't get in so we tried one of the side stands Mangan Tama Pu the Palabok was alright, the shumai was good, the other joint left us full, but not really satisfied so today we went out in search of that Filipino food flavor like Mom makes.Enter Luvie's.We walked in and there were three young guys behind the counter that emanated that friendly Filipino personality. They were helpful with the menu, and patient with our slow decision. We ended up getting pretty much everything on the line, an order of Lumpia, and two Siopao for the kids. The pompano was good, even better with a little Patis and vinegar! The pancit was very flavorful, and had a good amount of veg. The caldereta was great, kind of smokey and wonderful. Tinola, was a first for me, but it was super savory and absolutely delightful. The Chicken Adobo was good, well cooked, a little sweeter than we prefer, but still tasty! The pork BBQ skewers were super! Just the right amount of meat to fat ratio and a nice char to balance the sticky sweet sauce. Now, the show stopper...Sisig is an absolute must if it's on the menu, and Luvie's certainly didn't disappoint! The cook on the meat was just right, with the citrus and pepper balance was just lovely. Really, really good. To finish off the meal I had to get an order of Turon. I have a weakness for good Turon, and man did they make a good one here! We order some Boba Teas and a Halo Halo to wash it all down and really look forward to stopping by again.
I will be fair so I give 3 stars. It was my first time at Luvie's.. love the pork BBQ skewers. It was perfect, more on meat and less fat.I also love the Sautéed kangkong, they put jalapeños and ginger on it. It was little bit spicy but it was good!BUT I was really disappointed on their Suman. It was wayyyyyy over cook, can't taste the coconut milk/cream and not enough sugar for sweetness. The glutinous rice sticks to the banana leaves.Literally taste NOTHING! ?
Good Filipino food including desserts.
Don’t go for the halo halo it’s the worst I’ve ever had, and as far as the food they really need to improve a lot
if i could give a handful of extra stars, i 100% would! tastes exactly like childhood! i'm there almost every week! bibingka and pata are to die for!! (:
