I work overnight, stopped by with family for breakfast on way home from work. Wasn't in the mood for breakfast food, would've rathered lunch or dinner. Food has seemed to take a nose dive, the fried chicken was tiny pieces (almost like bar-food hot wings) and tasted like it was cooked the day before sat out...everything was so bland...guess I'll stick to breakfast items...

Mama's Daughter's Diner is a nostalgic type place to go if you like Old style cooked food. They have loads of old fashioned homestyle cooked meals that aren't on many menus anymore.Generally the food is pretty good. But, some of the times they mess up and it's not near as good as it could be or should be. For example, last time I was there I ordered the salmon patties and they tasted like they had been sitting heating under a heat lamp for the last 3 or 4 hours as they were extremely dried out and not moist at all.On the other hand, the roast beef was absolutely fabulous and I don't know if I've had it any better anywhere. They also have a great selection of pies for dessert which are fabulous.The wait service is pretty good and the waitresses are very kind and friendly and helpful with questions about the menu.So if you were in the mood for old fashioned cooking and want to try something different, go give them a try, hopefully your meal will be wonderful for you.The facility is very nice and clean and well kept and very pleasant.They close at 8:00, so plan accordingly.Michael Carr@ETexasRealtor
