My husband and I ate here last night when we walked in the door the waitress (young lady) was warm and welcoming as she explain the food style to us. so we stayed and she helped explain the menu to us as everything was written in Chinese.
We ordered a few items and loved the flavor! Spicy 🌶 was what she described the food would be, it was but the amounts of other spices and herbs balanced it out just right!
We will be back lots more to try on this menu.

No. 1 BBQ offers an authentic and warm dining experience with friendly service. The flavors of the dishes are outstanding, with many customers praising the skewers for their authentic taste and perfect cooking. The meat options are consistently high in quality, and the skewers are grilled rather than fried, with cuts of meat similar to those found in China. The cucumber and peanut dish is also highly praised for its delicious taste. This popular Dallas spot is a top choice for Chinese BBQ lovers, often recommended for its fresh, delicious food and prompt service. The restaurant also offers a unique treat - a freshly made sugar-coated hawthorn stick, which customers found to be a delicious and nostalgic experience.
The restaurant has been around for a long time, and while some customers had issues with the service in the past, recent reviews indicate that the service has improved. The interior is fairly small, with 6 booths and a single large table, so it can get crowded, especially on weekends. The food is generally well-received, with the skewers, oysters, and northeastern pork hotpot being particularly praised. However, some customers have had mixed experiences with the roasted cold noodles.
