Disclaimer -I'm not typically a sushi fan. (The wife is a super sushi lover).Date night with the wife. We had miso soup for appetizers. Wife had the Miss Fortune Roll, she really enjoyed it. The rolls are sometimes too big to fit in her mouth. These were not. I had the Deep Veggie Roll and the Rangers Roll. I also had a side of plain sushi rice (one of my favorites). The deep fried veggie roll was great. Many many choices of rolls to choose from. Only negatives were the initial wait to be served and orders taken (20 min) and very few non sushi choices (non really negative considering it is a sushi place. Go somewhere else if you want something other than sushi!) Staff was very attentive once our order was finally taken. Will go again to try more in the future.

I don’t normally leave reviews like this but I am very disappointed. The service here was great and the food tasted great at first but the second I got home I started feeling like I needed to throw up. I instantly got a migraine and threw up when I got home and I thought it was just me but my friend that ate with me also experienced the same thing. While the initial impression of the service and food was positive, unfortunately, the aftermath was quite distressing It's disheartening to have such high hopes followed by this unexpected turn of events. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe in the potential of this establishment to deliver exceptional experiences.

Good sushi priced pretty much as average. Miso soup tasted good. We ordered two customized rolls tamago yakitori, sashimi day roll and Caribbean roll. They were all good.

Hi! The avocado-cucumber rolls are incredibly delicious. If I could, I would eat one million of them! This is a 100% recommendation. The miso soup is absolutely amazing as well, it is salty, thin, and very enjoyable to eat. I would suggest the mochi ice cream, salmon-avocado roll, white shark roll, salmon sashimi and yellowtail heaven!! (The yellowtail heaven is my personal favorite.) All these rolls as well as the atmosphere makes the whole experience here special. Excited to come back! Keep it up!P.S I eat a lot of avocado-cucumber rolls- L.H.

Excellent nigiri, rolls and appetizers. We went Sunday afternoon to celebrate our son's birthday and sampled quite a few menu items. All four of us are sushi veterans and have high standards where raw fish is concerned. All four of us thought this place was great! There was no question about the quality of the fish offered at Rakko, The service was friendly and attentive. My sole complaint was that even with two chefs and few other customers, it took a long time to get our order. While good sushi is never cheap, I do have to say that we had four regular rolls, two specialty rolls, 3 orders of nigiri, a salmon tower and an appetizer for around $120. I was expecting it to be more. The salmon tower was the unexpected hit of the meal.It was excellent. And finally, one of our diners has a gluten allergy. Offering a gluten free soy sauce would be a nice option.Rakko is absolutely worth trying, just don't drop in for a quick bite.UPDATE: This place still rocks! If you're in the area give it a try!Be advised that at the time of the original review, Rakko was offering a 2 regular rolls for $12 special. This is no longer available.

I recently dined at this sushi restaurant, and I must say the food is truly amazing. The variety of rolls is impressive, and Lisa, the owner, provides excellent service. Best sushi I’ve had in Collin County.

The rolls I got here was just meh. Was trying this place for the first time, service was great they told me 22mins and exactly that it was ready. Staff was friendly when I picked up. Maybe I will try it again but my favorite roll out of all was the no rice roll and it was salmon forgot the name of to take some pics.
