I give Southern Gourmet Kitchen 1million stars. The food is season so good. The fried green tomatoes, the egg roll greens, Shauna had excellent customer service. She took care of us with great hospitality, always checking on us. The whole entire wait staff was so nice smiling interaction was great with the customers. Meatloaf was okay. But baby the shrimp grits, yams greens & OOOO the mac & cheese... FIRE. Last but not least DJ Class Chaz had me dancing in my seat the WHOLE entire time.

Atmosphere was in point ! Loved the music playing. Ordered the fried catfish, received 3 pieces well pleased with that. Fish was dark and fried hard when we received it. Grease needed changing. We came Wednesday and they were closed had something going on. Returned on Thursday. Ordered with 2 sides and paid $8 extra for my fries ??? Fries and cabbage were my two sides. And I still left a tip.

I got the grilled chicken fried green tomato coleslaw sandwich and the chicken was not cooked throughly. Called to talk to someone and knowone answered. It's ridiculous that chicken is under cooked..

This is my second time visiting Southern Gourmet, and I have to say this place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, food, and overall vibe is like none other. The people there are kind and welcoming. Our waitress Shawanna was amazing. She tended to our table of 5 with a smile. 5 STARS ?

Very loud music, food was very expensive. I paid 25 dollars for chicken waffles. The waffles tasted weird. They messed up on my friend’s order they didn’t bring out her catfish.

My girlfriends and I dined here for our lunch. The collard green eggrolls are something other wordly!! Absolutely delicious! We ordered catfish, Mac n cheese, cabbage, Candied potatoes- EVERYTHING tasted great! The music selection gave all the vibes and it didn't disappoint! It is a bit pricey and the only complaint we had was that the prices on the QR code menu had one amount but the amount rhe waitress rang up was something different.
Went on a Sunday, and music is so loud you can't hear yourself think. I don't want to go to the club at noon on a Sunday. 3 of us left early b/c of the noise level. Food is great, but keep the hoodrat happy hour vibes.

Food was good, but the serving size for takeout is not worth the price. I paid $20 for a small piece of catfish, red beans and rice with sausage with 2 small pieces of sausage. I probably had 3 scoops of rice. How is that worth $20? Price equivalent to Pappadeauxs but not Pappadeauxs servings. If y’all gone charge high prices make sure people get what they are paying for. I probably won’t be back cause I was expecting a big piece of fish at least, more sausage in the beans, more rice. It was worth about $8 to be honest. The people were great though, very friendly! The portion sizes just need to be consistent across the board I saw pics of good serving sizes thinking that’s what I would get.

me and my two friends came in a little close to closing last night the host was so sweet and sat us anyway which we really appreciated and were very sorry about our server on the other hand was a little impatient even thought we ordered our food in a timely manner she gave us 3 waters which we could easily taste was tap water there was also something black floating in my water which i noticed at the first sip we decided not to complain and just wait for the drinks we ordered my peach mango was absolutely amazing the waitress quoted us about 6 minutes for our cornbread to come out which we were fine with again we came in very close to closing then the cook who was also delightful came out and let us know it would actually be 16 minutes double the original time we also waited, we werent given any butter knives for the butter with our cornbread which was confusing since it was 3 of us, i ordered chef gs brisket sandwich with a side of potatoes and baked macaroni and cheese our waitress forgot to give us silverware i did have to ask her for those my whole table did not enjoy any of our food and still decided not to complain or bring it to anyone’s attention at the end of our dinner we decided we didnt like our service from the waitress so we decided not to tip her at all she then proceeded to very loudly tell multiple staff members we didnt tip with an attitude we still ignored it and waited for our to go boxes on the way out of the restaurant she yelled at us “if you cant tip you need to get a job” absolutely disgusting behavior and very disrespectful which was already our reasoning for not tipping in the first place in order to avoid confrontation we proceeded to leave we will absolutely not be coming back. we came in the restaurant about 9:40 03/28/24 otherwise the music was enjoyable and our very friendly host even made sure to wipe our table and seats before sitting
