Sadly, I think they are closed. Stopped by today (28 April 2023), and there is a sign from 10 April locking them out for non-payment of rent. Sad to see them go. ?

I had a chance to meet 1/2 of the owners through my place of business. She recommended for me to try out the restraurant. They got so many different varieties of flavors, HANDS DOWN THE BEST OKRA I've ever had, and my j*** chicken legs/thigs were extra amazing. Those " her mamas beans" are simply amazing as well. Loved this place, I iwll be back with my family. Thanks you guys. See you soon Ms.P

I went to this place to order some beef ribs. What they gave me was a slice of a whole lot of fat and a big dinosaur bone on top of the fat.

Closed during listed operating hours because they seem to be shutdown

Closed but was very good when open. Saw an unpaid rent notice after arriving for lunch today. Didn't show as closed on social media, Google, or Yelp. Hopefully it is temporary.

I was recommended this place by Michael from the ATI physical therapy clinic that is nearby, where I have been going after knee surgery. He said that the j*** chicken was really good. Since my wife and I stopped by Jamaica while on a cruise last year and tried the j*** chicken there at Scotchies, we wanted to see how it compared.NO COMPARISON!!!The j*** chicken at Willie's is delicious and juicy. I liked dipping it in their Three Pepper sauce that has a little kick.We had the three meat plate (we chose the lean brisket, pork ribs, and the aforementioned j*** chicken), mac & cheese, fried okra, and an order of Hog Bites (pork belly). Everything was wonderful and the staff was very nice. Even the lean brisket (which we have tried at other places and was disappointingly dry) was fork tender and moist. We are definitely planning on returning and bringing our friends and family. Next time we want to try the brisket sandwich and the loaded baked potato that Michael also recommended!Vegetarian options: Why would you even think about it?!!!?

TL;DR - It was great, and I got a personal "best I have ever had" experience. This was a great and wonderful surprise for me and my wife on a Saturday afternoon. I noticed a BBQ place just north of George Bush and Coit Rd. Somehow, it already had great reviews and I didn't know anything about it.A quick scan of photos and the menu had us convinced to give it a try. It was SO much better than my expectations. My wife had a chopped brisket baked potato (huge!) and I had a very tasty brisket sandwich on fry bread. Yeah... that's right. Fry bread. One of the couple that owns this place is from Trinidad. And OMG, what a wonderful thing, to join excellent Texas brisket with Caribbean influences. The sandwich (with crispy slaw) was great, and so was the baked potato.But... I've been eating Texas brisket for decades, and I love it. I have high expectations. This was really, really good. Good enough that I will get brisket on a platter next time, because the smoke and the tenderness was just right. They use Prime beef. It matters. And here we go... talk about burying the lede. I also got an order of J*** Chicken wings. This is not the Jamaican j*** chicken you might expect, or get someplace as an appetizer. This was, bar none, the best chicken I have ever had in my life. I've grilled a lot of chicken, and I've eaten a ton more. This unassuming order topped them all. It isn't pure heat like some j*** chicken. The smoke comes through perfectly. You can taste the love in this chicken. Sigh. They have regular orders of J*** Chicken on the menu in addition to the wings, and their platters have it as an option alongside the brisket. I'll be getting the two way platter with brisket and j*** chicken next time. Holy cow, this was good.Last, and I have to say this was a highlight - the lovely lady who runs this place stopped by our table and chatted with us for a while. She's kind of wonderful, too, and I highly recommend you try this family run place. You might run into them if it's not too busy.I also found this Texas Monthly article talking about them. How cool is this?texasmonthly.com/bbq/wil…

Was looking for an authentic Texas bbq place and I found it here at Willie Meshack's BBQ! Delicious food and I'm ready for a second visit before I leave town. They have lots of sauces that have great flavor. Nice people, big space for large parties and love that it's been around since 1978. Looked like it is family owned. Tasty food for a great price. Highly recommend it. Don't visit if you are on a diet or a picky eater. Just what I was looking for! The brisket was soft and flavorful and you can put your own sauce or not.

Food - 4Service - 5Value - 4I came here for lunch a few weeks ago and the experience was mixed. The food was good, but I thought my pork ribs (4/5) were a little on the dry side. Someone else with me ordered the BBQ j*** chicken and that dish is probably a 5/5. For my side, I ordered the potato salad and it was a bit interesting as it had corn and a few other things I'm not used to seeing in potato salad typically (4/5) and also was a bit runnier than I'm accustomed to as well.Service was also mixed but in the end I give it a 5/5 because of the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the staff -- however, it felt like it took a long time for the food to come out.In the end, we all thought the food was good but took longer to come out than we thought it should have and weren't sure if the price was worth it or if we just weren't used to seeing the new prices of everything in general due to inflation.

One of the best bbq I have in Dallas, I always look forward to Thursdays when they begin to smoke their meats in the back. I enjoy there barbecue sandwiches which are incredibly reasonable in price. The family is amazing I love there friendly personality and Genuine spirit. You will not be disappointed

Went to this place for the first time a cpl days ago. The chop beef sandwiches and the side that I got were really good! The best I've had since I don't know when! I just hope it doesn't end up being one of those situations like at some restaurants where the first time or 2 you go it's good and then the quality falls off where you may have an experience of them serving a dish that's not so fresh, tasting like it was made 3 days prior. If that doesn't happen then this will be the go to spot in the area for BBQ and I will be a regular

I’ve been looking for a new BBQ restaurant for years….YAY I finally found it. This place is has delicious chopped beef sandwiches. The homemade bread is absolutely amazing. Next time I will go back early enough to have the ribs. Once they are out they are out and closed but my husband says they are delicious too. Roberta the owner is very kind and gracious and was out working the dining room and talking with customers.

Awesome bbq, wonderful people! We needed a place to host a dinner for 30 family members coming in for a funeral. With less than a week to put this together, Willie’s provided a wonderful buffet at a very reasonable price. The staff was helpful and easy to work with, and the food was outstanding. Our whole family loved it. We highly recommend this restaurant!!
