“Finally, I can say that I've eaten at Bobby's Homestyle Cooking, and it did not disappoint!!! My deceased parents ate lunch there frequently and always raved about it, and my family enjoys it regularly, and yet I had never had the opportunity to eat there myself, until yesterday! My meal was absolutely delicious! In spite of my skepticism of ordering gumbo from a restaraunt (my family makes fabulous gumbo & it's hard to measure up), I ordered the gumbo. WOW!!! It was wonderful! So savory & flavorful, and sooo similar to my family's! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (with delicious potato salad) and my lunch partner had the beef tips, which I sampled as well & found delicious & tender! The atmoshere inside is very quaint with lots of hunting/fishing decor inside, and a neat ball cap collection on the ceiling. I also must comment on the staff - every one of them was very welcoming (even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing), friendly, warm, personable & helpful!
I loved my experience at Bobby's Homestyle Cooking yesterday, and I'm looking forward to returning soon for another delicious meal! Can't wait to try something different because I just know it will be delicious, too! Highly recommend if you're in Nederland & hungry between 10:30 am - 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday!“
