“Food is great, can't get enough. Trying to order over the phone is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I have to call (at least) 20 times before I even get a dial tone. That's the only downside about Pho Neches. I'd eat there everyday if I I could get a working phone to answer“

“My daughter and I love coming to Mama Kim’s. Every Friday, they serve smoked brisket pho which sells very quickly because everyone loves it.My daughter is a vegetarian and eats the Pho Khong with cabbage instead of noodles (pictured). She also loves the hot jasmine tea.I typically have the pho but recently have been trying the #32 which is beef cubes over rice…(forgive me but I don’t know the name of it yet…I just know it’s wonderful). We also get a side salad.We love the atmosphere here as well, but more than anything, we love Kim! She’s so sweet and such a diligent person who always has a smile on her face. She really cares about her patrons.My daughter has known her since before she opened this restaurant and became so close from visiting her at the restaurants she has worked and now owns that she sees Kim as family.Kim, we love you and are so proud of your hard work. We look forward to all of your accomplishments and getting to see all the smiles you put on the faces of the people you serve.Vegetarian options: Anything on the menu is modifiable to be vegetarian.“

“I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 3 minutes. I arrived in 5 minutes and it indeed was waiting.The food was excellent.I was charged a dollar more than I was told but didn't realize it at the time. That's one reason I always get a receipt! At any rate, I'll be back, but will be on the lookout for that happening again.“

Everything clean and organized. Surprised and happy that they had everything for pho beyond organized from the meat to the vegetables, to the condiments you guys! So I decided i am making pho. “Since my younger days, I love the sandwich to-go place located right in this Saigon market. My only complaint is that they take cash only. This place's sandwiches cost $3. Their cafe su dua (vietnamese coffee) also cost $3. Some people don't like the fact that a drink costs the same as a sandwich but I don't. The only fact that bothers me is that THEY TAKE CASH ONLY. NO EXCEPTIONS :( The breads on the counter next to the register are from this asian bread bakery located in Chinatown Houston. It's best to get these breads right when they are imported here when they restock their items. The breads go bad after 1 or 2 days so it's best if you come here early whenever the breads come. They also get spring rolls, little snackable items, and sesame balls from Houston so they're good too. This market also has that fishy "something is about to go amuck smell" lingering here and there so if you're sensitive on smell, I wouldn't come. It's your choice. I should mention that this place is the biggest Asian/Vietnamese market around that area so if you want a variety of asian food/spices/goods, this place is the place to go!“

“This place might not look like much on the outside, but they have excellent food. I eat here often. Don't miss out on the hand cut onion rings, they are the BEST! The portions are generous and the staff are friendly. A must try if you haven't been before. There are a few small tables inside, but I always get my orders to-go.“

“I have eaten PHO at so many places I can't count... you can see my reviews and I rarely even review.VIEN DONG, at least this one time I tried driving through the area, offers more meat in their Pho than any other place I've tried in my life.Their noodles are plentiful and pre cooked to perfection.Lots of fresh onion and cilantro too.Their broth is not the best I've had but it's probably top 15% I've ever experienced... and this is not a slight against them. I've been eating PHO daily for weeks traveling solo across the USA and this is the best Bowl I've had since Aspen Colorado. This place is real.As long as this place continues to offer their PHO loving customers this specific bowl experience, it's safe for this expert to say that VIEN DONG is a major league player... no question. Solidified by all the other great reviews of their PHO. Whoever is putting this together in the back is a national treasure.“
