Red Dome Smokehouse is a highly recommended restaurant known for its delicious pulled pork sandwiches. They occasionally offer chicken and dumplings that are said to be as good as homemade. The staff is friendly and helpful, making it a pleasant dining experience. In addition to their sandwiches, they serve a variety of dishes including hand-battered chicken, steaks, and Mexican options. The 4-piece chicken strip dinner remains a popular choice. The restaurant is located a bit of a distance away, but many find it worth the trip. Customers praise the variety on the menu and weekend buffet, as well as the friendly waitstaff that create a welcoming atmosphere. The service is often described as outstanding, with staff working together to ensure a great experience, even for large groups. Visitors appreciate the smiling service and great food, with vegetarian options like steamed veggies available. Wheelchair accessibility is never an issue, making it a comfortable place for all guests. This small town cafe offers fast friendly service and is open for breakfast with closing at 8 in the evenings. Reasonable affordable price menu choices are available, and the food is really good with healthy choices available. They offer a Child and Senior menu, and the breakfast is especially enjoyed. The fried Shrimp has improved to larger shrimp and a better batter, though it can be a bit too salty and overcooked. The squash is great, but the container leaked. Fried Okra was good but could be crispier, and hush puppies were good. The tartar sauce is awful, with a strong dill pickle relish flavor. It is one of the few choices for down home cooking.
