“I picked this diner as our total solar eclipse viewing spot. The employees were nice and attentive. The food was good. The price was right. Having traveled two and a half hours just for this, we hung around outside to get a full view of the beautiful total solar eclipse! Along with other customers, we felt comfortable and welcomed to enjoy our view from the parking lot of this diner. I would eat here again if I’m ever in Marlin again.”

“While out gallivanting down Marlin Main Street promoting next month’s Community Health Fair, I had the amazing fortune of wandering into Oakland Nutrition and being treated to one of their deliciously refreshing teas! Not sure how I’d missed their arrival downtown but it is definitely a new go-to!”
“Not sure why it's listed as temporarily closed, but it was open last weekend during the Polish Festival and was a very popular place. The beer was priced right, the air was cold, and the service was very prompt for the number of patrons.”

“I moved to Marlin about 6 months ago. I saw this place on my first drive into the city and made a note to check it out asap. This was my first visit. It won't be my last!I got an assortment of donuts, sausage potato egg cheese tacos, and bacon egg cheese croissants. The donuts just melt in your mouth. The dough is perfectly soft and fluffy. I was actually blown away by the quality of the donuts. The croissants were crispy, bacon smoky, and egg well seasoned. The tacos are filled to the max. Perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes, well seasoned eggs, and tasty sausage. The Bavarian cream filled longjohns were so yummy.I can't wait to come back and try some others, especially the biscuit sandwiches.”

“What a pleasant surprise! I went there because it was the only restaurant open in a very small town, but I was already expecting good stuff because you often find hidden gems in small towns. The people were friendly and I thought the food was excellent.I had the Parrillada Traditional for 1 and it was very good... beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas with mixed vegetables.I also had some queso with ground beef with my chips and it was also great. If I have a chance to eat in Bremond, TX again, it'll be my choice.”

“Passing by on a road trip and needed gas. Decided to grab a bite at this Subway. First impression: I was actually greeted as I walked in which is a dying custom now in days, area was clean, fountain drink station was not a mess or sticky. Ordered the Supreme meats with all of the veggies. Bread was soft and fresh, portion of the meats was good and the amount of toppings and condiments were well proportioned as well. All in all a good sandwich mixed with friendly service. Can't complain.”
