Rooster’s Diner in Reno, Texas, is a great fun little place to grab a nice breakfast or a delicious meal. The food is fantastic, real homemade food, with a club chicken sandwich that was delicious and chicken fried to golden perfection with a crispy, juicy crust. Sides are solid, including mashed potatoes that don’t taste like they were scooped from a bag, gravy thick enough to patch a tractor tire, and fresh, tangy coleslaw. The portions are just right, and the meal is very affordable. The place gets busy, but a table opens within minutes, and the food comes out quick. The staff is super awesome, friendly, and super friendly, making helpful suggestions. The bathroom is clean, showing the team cares about the environment. The diner is clean, cozy, and full of locals. It is not fancy but offers all the unique menu options.
