My Husband & I went here to celebrate a milestone in our lives. I had Crab Legs, for the very FIRST TIME, EVER!!! I must say, they were DELICIOUS!!! Especially with the butter sauce!!! We also had the seafood platter, along w/the Crab Legs. Everything was WONDERFUL!!! Thank you, for making our milestone moment and AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!

Big Shucks delivers what it promises: fresh, tasty seafood in a casual setting. The boiled shrimp and fried fish basket were the standouts. Gumbo was comforting. The restaurant has been here for over decades and the quality still remain the same. That is something.

This is my favorite location. But this last visit wasn’t good at all. I was very disappointed with the food this time. The shrimp basket was very dry I couldn’t even finish it. And the rice on my shrimp kabob plate was very dry as well. It just lacked in flavor over all. Not sure what changed.

We went for happy hour and ordered oysters — and honestly, we’ve had oysters recently in San Diego and Florida, but these were by far the biggest and best tasting. There was no grit or that watery “off” taste you sometimes get, if you know what I mean. My husband couldn’t stop talking about them for two days!
