They are now open and I truly hope the residents of Garland and Richardson support this cool, unique place. At this time, it is buffet style and focused on Danang city specialties. I have been to Danang, which makes me familiar to the cuisine.Positives: Great outdoor patio for eating your dessert or drinks and relaxing. Banh xeo is scrumptious and close to what you would eat in Danang. Atmosphere is modern and clean. Good service. Banh nam in a banana leaf is very tasty but you have to request it. It is awesome to have true Danang city food here in Richardson. Danang, Vietnam really has some of the best food in any city on this planet.Negatives: Management needs improvement on handling customer questions. They should let customers know how to eat the food and explain it better. The owner should be more visible and involved during service, especially since this is the Grand Opening. The soup flavors could be improved. Fish cake soup is tough and dry. Mi Quang could use more flavor. Do not microwave the soup broths would be my advice. Throw away the microwave.Customers not from Danang city will not understand how to wrap the banh xeo, unless they see a video or are instructed by the servers. They need rice paper wraps and instructions on which vegetables to wrap it with like a spring roll. The same goes for which vegetables go in which soups. They could offer more desserts. The price is too high at around $15. They need more appetizers.I would actually recommend changing the model and have a lower priced buffet for lunch and make dinner a small menu with more drinks and desserts. They need music on patio and possibly TVs.
Best Vietnamese buffet in Dallas. I love their soups and the vegetables/herbs are always fresh. Prices have gone up since they first opened but I think that's just due to inflation, so not gonna blame them for it. Taste/Quality of food has been very consistent in my experience which is great!

I entered this restaurant a dumb, stereotypical American, and I left a dumb, stereotypical American despite the patient and determined efforts of the staff. Some day I will return and leave with a belly full of something other than the customary French fries, fried rice, and other offerings catered to the unprepared.

Food was consistently a 6.5/10 with some star dishes, which for a buffet is pretty good! I really enjoyed their mi quang and bun thit nuong. Highly

Pros:- Interesting concepts and selections of dishes.- Some of the dishes are good.Cons:- Pricy for what is offered.- Very limited buffet selections (explain further below).- Some of the dishes are not good.- Servers are solemnly quiet.- Very limited opening hours.Details:- The price is about $30 per adult and $6 per small child, and $15 per older child. Plus tips, which is an automatic 18% for a party of 5 or more.- There are 2 sets of dishes being offered:1. Buffet:- A very small section of food. About 10 items?2. To order:- You don't pay extra, as this is part of the deal. You press a button and a server will come to your table. There is a menu of about 20 dishes. Each time you can order 1-2 items/person and you can do it up to 4 times.- You can eat for up to 90 minutes.- What I am most sad about is that it used to be MUCH better (before Summer 2023?). There are used to be: 1. A lot more items to order, including hot pots. 2. More buffet items, including hot and sour soup. 3. More beverage options, including coconut drink and Vietnamese coffee. I think all the recent changes are to save costs, but it's just disappointing seeing how much of a reduction in quality this place has become.

I can't say much about the atmosphere or the food since I haven't had the chance to sit down for a meal yet. I've been wanting to go for months but they seem to be open at random days and just couldn't catch them at a good time. So I saw that they were opened today, at least online on their Facebook. They had advertise they would be open 8/6/23 on a Sunday. Last seating at 8pm and buffet closes at 9pm. I wasn't sure if this is accurate information, so I called them at 7pm. I called twice. I wanted to make sure they were actually open and that their last seating was 8pm as advertised. No one picked up the phone. I figured I might as well give it a shot and believe them at their word since they managed their own Facebook. I drove two friends 40 minutes to get there, and we got there at 7:48pm. 12 minutes before last seating. There were plenty of people inside, people outside, and people parking. I tried to open the door and it was locked. Some people came out so I was able to get in. All the waiters kept walking past me even though they made eye contact. Didn't say a thing, just kept going about their work. No acknowledgement that I was there. I had to flag one of them down and asked if they were still seating. They apologize and said they were no longer seating even though it wasn't even 8pm yet. Their Facebook specifically advertise 8pm last seating. Then I told them at least pick up their phones so they can let their customers know before they will not be seating prior to 8pm. We drove such a long way to come support their business and they can't even seat people at 8pm at a buffet. So we left out the door to look for an alternative while I mumbled that I will be leaving a bad review. One of the waiter ran out to tell us that they will seat us because "you drove such a long way." I don't think it was the drive, but hearing me wanting to leave a bad review was the reason why they ran out to try to make us happy. But they said some of the food is low or running out and they won't be refilling it. In my head, I thought, there's no way I want to be seated now if I'm going to pay full price to not get the full menu. I thought this was a buffet? They run out of food? So it's not a buffet, it's first come first serve but you pay a buffet price. Honestly, the whole situation just is mind blowing. I really wanted to support my Vietnamese people but they certainly don't know how to run a respectable establishment. Shouldn't be advertising their hours like that and not meet the customer's expectations. And learn to pick up your phone. You have about 10 waiters there, and not a single one can pick up the phone? And stop advertising last seating at 8pm when it's obviously not 8pm. If anyone really want to try this place, I'd suggest coming as early as 6pm because they closer you get to 8pm, they will stop seating earlier than that. I ended up taking my friends to an all you can eat Korean bbq place that was also run and owned by Vietnamese folks and they don't run out of food, they seat you within 5-10 minutes, and they close at 11pm. DaNang Souphouse is a major disappointment. That's why for now I will have their customers service and overall rating at 1 stars until they make some positive changes.

Been here on many occasions and the food never disappoint. I love the different varieties and the authentic taste of the food. Remind me of my mom's cooking. Would go here every day if I could. Lol.

I feel like it's worth trying out if you want to eat different Vietnamese dishes at once vs going to a Viet restaurant and only ordering one dish for yourself. There's a lot of variety and definitely reminded me of my parents cooking. I feel that the price is fair if you eat as much as you can.Loved their drink options, I think it rotated though. I had the Thai tea and I could not stop getting refills throughout my meal.

First time here and it was awesome. Bun boe and the crispy pancake is my favorite. Didn't try the hotpot yet. Drinks are included but no longer have vietnamese coffee i saw on youtube video which was a letdown. Service was great. If you needed to place an order just press the button. Dont have to yell to a waiter to get your order.Pay up front is unusual but I like this better than having to wait for the check. The $27 price per person may seem high to some but everything else is high too. So to me its reasonable.

Great food. It’s all you can eat but you have to order and only 3 at a time. Excellent customer service. The only downside is waiting time for order. Price is $27 person and only open on weekend
It's a bit pricey per person but it includes everything on the menu and the buffet bar. We tried the #1, 2, 6, 7, 9 and 11. All were delicious and were served in just the right portion so you don't overfill on one dish. #1 and #11 were my favorite, if you're not a fan of anchovy flavor #11 may not be the dish for you as it does come with anchovy sauce. My husband really enjoyed #6, the grilled pork is very tender and glazed with some sort of sweet sauce that gives it great flavor.
Good old fashion Vietnamese comfort food. Bánh xèo, all the bún you could think of a couple of xôi. Improved a lot since before lock down. Price has gone up a few bucks but
