Shout out to Free Play Richardson for a fun, chill place to celebrate Jonathan Lee's bday! Thanks to Dylan and Pete and the rest of the staff for handling all the details--y'all made it so easy. We'll be back!

Fun place but…. We came here once before and they gave us a free entry coupon for purchasing 6 drinks while were here. The guy that checked us in said they stopped taking them like last summer, and refused to honor it. No expiration date on it, no understanding, no “I’m sorry”. He simply said oh we sent emails out to let everyone know. When I asked to speak to who was in charge he tells me “oh well they are probably not here , probably getting ready for the holidays or whatever, but you’re doing pretty good actually, I mean I have had a knife pulled on me over it before.”
Like what?!?
What does that have to do with me. Worst experience ever, we definitely will not be back with an attitude like this! You need to find new help because this guy definitely does not want to be nor does he care about paying customers coming in. There were 8 people in our group he definitely could have honored the free entry but instead chose not to and to be rude about it. Just go somewhere else if you want to have fun, this place ain’t it….

Free play is a neat arcade experience with an uncommon twist... They also have console game tables while you enjoy snacks and drinks. There are plenty of nostalgic and modern games that take you back decades all the way to the 80's! Bring your friends, enjoy a few drinks over competitive games and enjoy. They do have a nice beer and cider inventory behind the bar and plenty of places to rest your drink while you play. Clean bathrooms, and game areas although there wasn't any sanitizer visible to clean up after someone was playing, which is why I knocked down a star.

This little gem is quietly tucked into this strip mall. But don't let its little size fool you. It has LOTS of retro and some newish games. Skiball, pinball, and even super Mario kart (S-NES) at the booth tables! The food was great, the beer was cold, very reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly. This will probably be my new hangout when I'm not busy. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars!!

Really great neighborhood arcade with a cool and fun vibe for anyone. This is their first location I believe and is one of my favorite..

Free Play in Richardson has been and STILL great! Tons of games, great for the whole family. Do NOT skip eating something off the menu. Their kitchen is not an afterthought, on the contrary, you will find delicious food waiting for you!
