Gillespie's Tavern at the Shire

My wife and I went there on a Friday night. There was an Irish band playing which gave it a really fun vibe. Our waitress was very friendly and op top of everything. We haven't been to Ireland to compare the food, but everything was delicious. I ordered two different glasses of draft beer and each one came out colder than any draft beer I've ever had. I wish every restaurant would catch on. We'll certainly be back - most likely with friends.

This is an irish pub with great vibes and drinks.
I went here for a Sunday Brunch.
The service was quick and the food was good.
Definitely do not miss out on the braised pork chops.
It's not on the brunch menu but you can order it from the regular menu.
Also the Scotch eggs are best selling and good.

While visiting Dallas for business, we stopped by Gillespie's Tavern as it was right near our hotel. We had a group of 6 and were seated right away. Our server was great and food was very good. I ordered the Shredded Apple, Kale and Cabbage salad. It tasted great and was a very large portion. Would definitely recommend!

Always a pleasure to come to Gillespies. The food is well above any bar or pub food you might find at other bars. The service is always great. They have a lot of fun and are always in a good mood. If you can go on one of the music nights. The bands the have are always really good.

Loved the live music and selection of beers. The food can be hit and miss, though. The Shepard's Pie was great. Not so much the fish and chios.

Sad I drive 2hrs from Mt Vernon to come here because of posts on FB get here at 330 in the afternoon, they are closed till 730 for a party.not a good first impression

If you're looking for a family and friends atmosphere great Irish music you find here in Texas recommend to all there's not a bad thing on the menu bartenders and servers are incredibly welcoming and true your experience is there pleasure and I recommend the Sunday brunch it's to die for music is always setting the tone of a great experience!!! Customer has always come first

It is ALWAYS a grand time! The staff is super friendly and efficient. The food is amazing! The events are always packed and you'll probably end up making a new friend or two while you're out.
