All the appetizers food was cold, some of it was still good tasting but I don’t know…it was a big group and I think they just had it sitting too long just bring them out when they’re ready.

Food was so-so. The seven and seven cocktail didn't use Segrams 7 whisky. My beer was a bit thin. The staff was friendly.

Second time (I work nearby). Menu price did not match bill, asked server, brought different menu to show increased price. No attempt to make right. Owner working on laptop in restaurant, zero interest in customer satisfaction. Lunch was $30, and I had water to drink. Good luck!

Booked Gillespie’s for a work dinner for 15 and I would return for sure for both work or personal meals. Space to accommodate a large party or plenty of space at the bar top for one person looking to quench their thirst and hunger.Great service while we were there and of course an excellent meal to match. I chose the bangers and mash. A highly recommended dish that lived up to its reputation.And of course nothing better than their large choice of drinks both on tap and mixed options. They have a pool table for anyone seeking a good pub with shooting some pool to match.Keep Gillespie’s in mind for your next get together, the whole group will enjoy.

Me and the wife came here for the first time on a Friday night. The band was packing to leave and it was only 10:00.Was a little disappointed about that. But we stayed and had a couple of appetizers, which was pretty good. I ordered an Old Fashioned Cocktail with Buffalo Trace/ smoked it was very good (had 2). The service was also very good at the bar area. Will be back again to hear a band. Hopefully.

Great meetup for family and friends. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and charming. Our group tried a wide assortment of dishes (shepherd's pie, Wellington, Bangers and mash, Scottish eggs, artichoke dip, and new menu addition apple/pear cobbler) only criticism was wellington was bit dry, but a request for a side sauce was generously supplied and made the dish spot-on. Several items were sold out, so a return visit to try other dishes is definitely a must. We're already looking forward to a return visit. The Live music was delightful.The Kinfolk gig led us to this fine restaurant and I am so happy to discover the Tavern at the Shire

Nice bar. If you like old fashions... order the pecan one. Smoked to perfection. Awesome service and food. I ordered the chicken thigh appetizer. Very good. Got a great selection of whiskey and scotch for sure. Nice pub feel. Irish feel. I can't wait to come back. Have patience because everything is made so great.

Several things point to a pattern of overcharging:The bill contained the correct items but the math was completely wrong and overcharged me. I pointed this out to my server, who did correct the bill but I wonder how may other people were overcharged and just paid the bill without really looking at it.The Grilled Ribeye with Blue Cheese did not have any blue cheese and at $36 was way overpriced. I can get a steak just like this at other pubs for $20+.Guinness pours are in smaller glasses than other pubs that I frequent, so you're being charged the same amount as other pubs for less beer.You will be charged more if you use a credit card versus paying with cash. This is the first time I have ever experienced this with any other pub/restaurant. Literally no one else does this.
