We were excited to try another Cantonese restaurant but it was not the best. First off the bbq was great, all 5 stars if it was just that! Then we ordered dim sum, this is where some were good and some weren’t so 3 stars here. Lastly service was okay, that’s expected. Keep in mind this restaurant is very dated and many plates/cups have chips on them.

Congee was okay. No green onion or doughnut. Fish, rice, ginger. Pork soup dumplings were kind of dry. Tripe with satay sauce was pretty good. Gai Lan was steamed beautifully and was really good.

Do you enjoy eating Dim Sum? Golden Joy, located in Richardson, has consistently served delicious food for several years. The service is attentive and you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere. I recommend you try the Singapore noodles with a combination of meat, roasted duck, roasted pork, barbeque pork, shrimp dumplings, chive dumplings, shrimp balls, baked pineapple buns, and sesame balls.

I came on the recommendation of a tiktok video for the roasted pork and I saw they had lunch specials (Mon-Fri before 3pm), so I got the chicken and broccoli. It comes with rice and soup. I got the fried rice and the hot and sour soup.
The roasted pork is sold by the lb, but I just got half a pound. What a delight! That crunch and flavor is delicious and it's good with or without the included sauce. They also have whole roasted duck, which is interesting to look at, as I've never seen a whole cooked duck hanging on a hook before. LOL.
They will see me again. I want to try some more things on the menu, but I will definitely be getting more of that roasted pork.

Was seated immediately but ignored for 10 minutes. Given dirty waters and no chopsticks or silverware to eat. Service was so rude. Immediately had to use the restroom after.

We eat here all the time but their attitude changes over time. Badly attitude towards customer and not good service. I just ask them little bit of green onion but they said don’t have it, so we ask the boss of the restaurant . However ,his wife brings out the onion and slamming it to the table like we not welcome.
