I recently visited Rudy's BBQ and had a disappointing experience. I specifically ordered an extra lean brisket, but when my meal arrived, it was extremely fatty instead. When I raised the issue with the staff, I was told that the fatty piece was just one portion of the 1-pound order. While I understand that different cuts can vary, it wasn’t what I expected or was promised.

After finishing my meal, I ended up feeling really uncomfortable, with significant stomach distress. It was a frustrating experience, especially given how much I was looking forward to the meal. I expected higher quality and more attention to detail, especially with such a well-known place.

Considering the quality of the food and the after-effects, I can't recommend this location to anyone. It might work for some, but for me, it was a miss. There are better options out there.

I have loved this Rudy's location for years. It was so consistent. Over the last year, I have been 3 or 4 times. The meat quality has just gone down so much. Not sure if it is just who cuts it but I never had to remove much fat before. Now half of every brisket piece is fat and inedible. You're paying way too much to only be able to eat half of it. It could just be whoever is trimming it before smoking. Of course, you can't remove it all but it's been excessive. Now it is happened enough times in a row to know it is just how this location is now.

Also the smoked turkey has had a bad aftertaste the last few times. Almost a metallic taste. It used to be my wife's favorite but now she might it a little but we end up having to throw out the rest.

The sausage is consistent and good and the cream corn is still good but I miss the old meats. We previously had numerous family dinners and holidays with Rudy's but will have to try somewhere else next time unfortunately.

I will not tip you for doing your job if I am not dining in and taking breakfast tacos to go.

I am not one to leave reviews often, and have enjoyed Rudy’s locations elsewhere in the past. Today I tried this location for the first time, and now I’m trying to cure the frostbite on tongue from my breakfast tacos. They were cold which is concerning because I ordered them at the counter which usually means they’re a bit more fresh than the grab and go option. I am not sure how/why many people have rated these as amazing because I wasn’t able to finish mine.

I have been there a couple of times. The waitress and meat cutters are always changing. This led to my complaint today. I ordered the moisture beef which is their expensive menu item, see the picture how much fat the meat cutter left. $30 for that 1 pound beef? Come on, Rudy’s you can do better than that.

Walked in on Saturday night a whole hour before close and it was practically empty which wasn’t the best sign.the staff had already began cleaning and closing operation. Food was awful. The turkey was cold and tasted weird. The beef brisket was cold, dry, and tasted foul. Felt like the staff was more concerned with closing up and leaving. Would not go back to that location.

I enjoy Rudy’s with my family. My comment is that it’s not a good look to have the person taking and serving your order sweating profusely. The shirt is drenched in sweat. It’s very hard to enjoy the food and difficult for me to want to go back. It’s not the first time I’ve had that employee help me. The employee was very kind and I understand that some people can’t help it but perhaps there’s another role for that person. I’m sure Rudy’s cares about all employees, just make sure it’s not impacting your customers fresh perception of the food being served.

Rudy’s has a very casual but always very clean atmosphere. This time I ordered to go. I ordered a lb of moist brisket with burnt ends and 4 pork ribs which were very meaty. Tacked on a pint of potato salad and coleslaw. It was all delicious. I’ve always appreciated the friendly and prompt service at Rudy’s and how they provide the freshest condiments at their self serve bar. Overall, Rudy’s BBQ is a favorite. I’m used to their BBQ sauces and their consistently good service.

Parking: Always free parking and plenty of it.

Half chicken was burnt.
Moist brisket taste as if it was broiled. If you drown the brisket in their sauce, it's still bad.
Sausage was average at best.
Only thing that was edible was the banna pudding and potatoe salad
