“This is a good place for home style food. The seating takes getting used to. You pick a seat at a large table and share with strangers. Other than that, it is my new favorite place to eat. Everything on the table is what my moms dinner table looked like. It took me back home.”

“These folks are the real deal. Greet you when you open the door to come in, helpful with their product, interact with you, and THANKFUL that you came in. It's probably a good thing we were just passing through and will not be back by because I would put on unneeded poundage from this place. Had the blueberry fritter. It was AWESOME! Fresh and lots of blueberry flavor - unlike the grocery bakery apple fritters most times. Would have liked to try the coffee, but we already had that. My advice - GO THERE!!”

“I ordered from here for the first time a couple of days ago and I was very impressed! I ordered two med pizzas, cheesy bread, a chicken Alfredo, and a kid's pizza. We had some family over so I wanted to make sure we had enough. I could have probably fed 7-8 people instead of the five I was trying to feed. But that’s okay because I love leftover pizza!The burger pizza was my favorite! I don’t know why it’s so good but I recommend it if you like pickles and mustard. The chicken Alfredo was also a favorite of mine.My only complaint was the wait time. We went at a pretty slow time and ordered carry-out. They told me 25 minutes so we left, went to the store, and came back 30 minutes later. They were still working on it so it probably took 45 minutes total. I think we ordered during shift change or something so I’m not upset about the wait but I wanted to share my experience.I wish I had taken pictures! The atmosphere is also very nice. We will be back because I want to try a hamburger and the wings next time.”

“This is the only real ice cream shop in Sweetwater. When you walk in, the ice cream parlor is welcoming and clean. They have an area where you can purchase items from the owns other shop in Alpine, Texas; named Desert Rose. I appreciated that the ice cream boxes were divided to be accommodating of people’s allergies. They have a sorbet area, peanut ice cream, and regular. The quality ingredients and variety of flavors make it a must stop. The salted caramel and cheesecake cookie were yummy! They have an amazing cone and SIZE selection. They even offer 1/2 scoops which are perfect for the tiny humans and adults that just want a tiny sweet treat.They have tables to sit at but it would appear that drive thru is typically the preferred method of most people. This is most likely due to the parking situation- which can be difficult if you’re not from around here. I enjoyed sitting inside- the staff is friendly and they have paper covering the tables that you can draw on.”

“I have ordered burritos at several places in town but for value, service and quality theirs are the best. Picadillo burrito is my favorite and I’m on a high protein diet. The meat on it is like it should be. Great family business.?”

“The service in this place is amazing! Every table was full, but you still received excellent service and food was fast. My favorite item was definitely the taco on the Mexican plate. It was one of the best tacos I have ever eaten. The guacamole was extremely delicious also.”

“I have been to all the restaurants in Sweetwater and every Mexican food restaurant more than once but I have only been to Lupitas for the last 3 months and don’t see myself going back to the others anytime soon. They have the best Mexican food in town and with that the best prices. My favorite dish use to be the chile rey but here lately I have been getting the ranchero enchiladas and that is 3 different types of enchiladas all with different sauces. The beans and rice at the other places are really dull compared to lupitas and I spend at least 5 dollars more at the other places for lower quality, less tasty and actually less food, when ordering the same thing I mean. I Just wanted to take some time out to thank lupitas because I think they do a great job there and have great prices compared to other places and lupita herself is a very sweet lady. They also have the best tasting salsa and freshest chips without a doubt.”

“Great place! First timers, Mr. Big Boy up at the front seemed upset at first, but then he shook that off and was funny and helpful. We were there at 4:00 pm and the place looked closed but then the OPEN sign turned on and we parked immediately. I'm so glad we did not drive away, and the only thing that held us waiting at the parking lot was that we were looking for a place to eat on maps, lol. We will definitely come again on our next work trip out here! Thank you Big Boy!”

“This donut shop has such a homey feel which makes this donut shop stand out. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. The donut shop is typically open early in the mornings and by noon donut choices are limited.Update:They have new owners but I still enjoy this donut shop a lot. It’s the best donut shop in town. They have boba, yummy donuts, and an assortment of breakfast foods.I really appreciate that they don’t warm their food up in plastic wrapping.”

“Have gone several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will continue to go! Prices are fair. They will make anything on the menu any time of day. The biggest breakfast burritos in town, normally I order 2 from anywhere else but not here! They have a variety of salsas all you have to do is ask. The menu is adjustable and they will make something even off menu if they can! I regularly see the fire department there so I can't be the only one that thinks it's good! I will say, the sauces and spices are more authentic Mexican rather than texmex, so the flavors are a little different but awesome. I recommend the breakfast burritos or enchiladas”

“First and foremost this was absolutely surprising we walked in the dining area was prestine we walked in 9 deep and instead of receiving the pushed service or common oh my goodness they were helpful and respectful entirely! The sandwich maker was Juan and the lead was Alena.. they seemed to be short staffed but held it together and absolutely attended everyone with great service and smiles they had a line behind us but absolutely gave friendly service! If I could do more than 5 stars i would it was all fantastic the sandwiches well put together not thrown together! Restrooms were clean! Perfection ?Vegetarian options: You can pick and choose bread of your choice and load up with all the veggies you please and many varieties of dressings.”
