The portions were fairly small for the price and there weren't a lot of different menu options as far as the actual "coastal portion" of it. While they had a large selection of raw oysters, the quantities and grilled selections were limited to one. I ordered the grilled oysters. It only came in a half dozen order which I guess was because it was a starter plate. However I do think it would be an advantageous to have it as a actual meal and do a dozen or more or to add the option to have any of the various oysters as grilled. The drink selection was extensive however there weren't any drinks on the cocktail list that I gravitated to, which is VERY rare for me. I ended up getting the lemonade basil cocktail I believe is the name, again not impressed. Because there are other really nice oyster bars in the round Rock area that may be considered dive bars, but they offer a lot more than this particular menu did. I won't be back but my server and all of the customer service was amazing.

A Delightful Dining Experience at Salt Trader Coastal CookingIf you're a seafood lover, Salt Trader Coastal Cooking is a must-visit destination! My recent visit was nothing short of delightful, thanks in large part to a trio of standout dishes. First off, the Caesar salad was a fresh and flavorful start to the meal, perfectly dressed and garnished, setting a high standard for what was to come. The fish and chips were next, and they truly exceeded expectations. The fish was fried to a golden, crispy perfection, yet inside, it remained incredibly flaky and moist. Paired with crispy, seasoned fries and a tangy tartar sauce, this dish was a comforting nod to classic British fare with a distinctly upscale twist. However, the real showstopper of the evening was the shrimp and lobster spaghetti. This dish was a luxurious fusion of tender shrimp and succulent lobster, tossed with al dente spaghetti in a rich, savory sauce that was both aromatic and deeply satisfying. Every bite was a celebration of fine coastal cuisine.Beyond the food, the ambiance of Salt Trader Coastal is warm and inviting, with a staff that’s eager to enhance your dining experience with their attentive service. Whether you're there for a casual meal or a special occasion, Salt Trader Coastal Cooking impresses on all levels. Highly recommended for anyone craving top-notch seafood with a gourmet flair!

Oh my God, this place was awesome. The seafood tower is great, small or big, 50 to 100 dollars. The food was awesome, I don't know what to compare it to, probably a seaside resteraunt. The service was awesome. Our server was great and was super fast. The food, on the other hand, we waited 20-25 minutes. Everything was great. Including the atmosphere

The food was good. People at the table mentioned the shrimp in the lobster roll wasn't good. Everything else was pretty good.On Monday evenings they have $1 Gulf Oysters, and a bunch of discounted things like appetizers and drinks.

A busy place, obviously popular (?) but every restaurant seems busy these days. We had oysters which were very good, the seared scallops which were good but unremarkable, and Ciopino which was disappointing. Let me explain, this is a seafood restaurant and the seafood should be the highlight/feature of the dish (IMO) but the broth was more like a southwest style chili gravy which completely buried the flavor of the seafood. Just my opinion but I've had much much better especially considering the prices here.Dietary restrictions: They do have a gluten-free menu which has a good selection.
The place and the treatment have been excellent. The food is generally very good but we have detected an aftertaste of tap water in the shrimps/shrimps. In any case, it is a place where I would repeat next time.

Vegetarian options: Crab Louie was excellent! Very satisfying!
We had such a good time! Our waiter, Isaac, was exceptional! Then, the menu is varied and our meals, all 4, were delicious from oysters to key lime pie. Excellent!

We were seated right away. However, it did take some time before someone finally came over to get our drink order and the rest. Vanessa, our waitress was a total sweetheart. The food itself is quite flavorful, however quite small in portion size for the price it is. For example, I had ordered a fried fish and shrimp platter. I received only one piece of blackened fish and 3 shrimps over a bed of fries and coleslaw on the side with 3 dripping sauces ? I have paid the same elsewhere and got more shrimp and fish. The dessert portion for the brownie was also small for the price it was. Overall, it is overpriced for what you receive. The food is not the issue but the portions you get.

Great service. Food is tasty. Great ceviche. Really dislike the crackers they are using, though, bring back Nabisco saltines.
