Love to lounge and sip a cocktail at the Ellis. Despite the high prices and really unfriendly bartenders the vibe and atmosphere of the place is just too cool to resist. I can only imagine how great it could be if they would send the bartenders to smile school.

This place has so much going for it. However, hospitality is sorely lacking. The two bartenders and drink runner were so unpleasant to all the patrons last night. It was truly painful to watch. We had one drink and headed down the road where we found a welcoming atmosphere and live music! Management needs to get a handle on this….it appears that it’s a chronic problem.

Bartenders here were extremely rude, and made us feel so unwelcome.Finished our drinks and left. We will not return here. My friends and I look forward to coming to Round top every year and these girls put an extreme damper on our experience here.

It just seems like the kids left running the operation need some supervision. The fading zip in atmosphere needs a full time concierge.Food nearby, but not in house
Emma makes an amazing Manhattan!!! Great place to relax and have a proper drink! Highly recommend this place.

NO kids/babies allowed, so save yourself the trouble of even attempting to step inside their gated area before being told you can’t be there if you have your child with you. Will no longer be a returning customer after this most recent experience.
