a large group had reservations 16table set for 14 no room to add 2 more barely room for the 143 of us left to find dinner elsewhere, asked to speak to owners they would not come talk tous, could not sit at another table as we were told they were booked solid very poor customer service!

We tried the shrimp tacos and the shrimp BLT sandwich. Both were phenomenal!Their lemonade mimosa and blueberry lemon pie were just as amazing! Wait staff were exceptional and I can’t wait to go back and try something else ❤️

It was more like a bar than a cafe: dim lights, music playing, very casual atmosphere. We had both had pie. Both pies were delicious. It was $18.95 for 2 slices of pie, without the tip.

We came here after several years of making the recipes out of the cookbook. We do a lot of BBQ for friends and non-profits and a ALWAYS requested desert is their famous Texas Trah Pie. That said, I had to have some from the 'Mothership' and it did not disappoint. I started with a cup of the Jalapeño cheddar soup - very good and then had the shrimp & grits - also very good. My wife had a bowl of bean soup and a brisket sandwich. She thought both were excellent. We then finished by sharing a slice of their Texas Trash Pie w/ ice cream - Heaven!! We had to take back a whole pie to my son and his family in Austin. I also have to mention the wonderful and friendly service we received - can't wait to go back next time we're in Texas.

My husband and I were visiting Round Top, and having heard about Royers for years, we were looking forward to dinner there. Major mistake. By no means am I a clean freak however this place needs a major cleaning. My husband, a casual guy, noted that the cook at the window looked like a homeless guy, stringy, dirty hair—-I was really hoping that he had at least washed his hands. Since the menu had many heavy items, we decided we’d each just have pie and coffee. Our server sternly lectured us that we weren’t allowed to eat pie at the table since they had customers with reservations—-we could understand that given that there is limited seating however she was unbelievably condescending. We went ahead and ordered an app, Cheesey Double Dip. Another mistake. Crackers were stale, tasteless, some were broken and the 2 cheeses, pimento cheese, and a blue cheese were tasteless—-pimento cheese had no flavor and had a couple of hard chunks of “something” mixed in—the other dip had 2 or 3 tiny pieces of blue cheese and mostly olive oil. We then each ordered a slice of pie and coffee. When the pie finally arrived it was delicious, however coffee was nonexistent. We ate hurriedly, so the table would be available, however our server went MIA so we sat FOREVER waiting to get our check. Of course the missing cups of coffee were on our bill and we decided to just go ahead and pay for them, otherwise we’d be there another 30 min trying to straighten it out. Again—-restaurant must be running on past good reputation.

We just had the WORST customer service. I asked our waitress if I could please have a refill of tea. She looked me dead in the face and said she’s too busy with other things to do and she’ll get to me when she gets to me. I said nothing because I couldn’t believe what she just said. The two tables next to us heard her and said that they could believe how rude that comment was. Crap like this ALWAYS happens to me!

It’s spendy, but worth every penny. The food was phenomenal, and the desserts… don’t bother saying you’ll eat half and take the other half of the slice home, we devoured everything.
