“Was shopping in Salado and wanted to try a local restaurant for lunch. The food was ok, nothing special. The vibe was homey. But the service was excellent. Good little place to get in and out quickly.”

“Nice dining experience here with one big caveat…the first room dining area is not conducive to having a quiet or normal conversation. Met Lauren who is the manager there, very sweet lady and although we were a walk-in got us a table as they were a bit busy. Our server Lindsey got us set up with beverages and we reviewed the menu. I saw some of the appetizers go by so decided not to start there as they were huge. We ordered the Chicken Marsala and the Texas Pork Chop with add-on side salads. I’m not normally a fan of Marsala with mashed potatoes BUT this dish was delicious and the potatoes were a perfect accompaniment. The chicken nicely breaded and tender while the Marsala sauce was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. The pork chop was grilled and charred perfectly and the bacon jelly was “WOW” when combined with the chop. Really good food, a bit higher in the price range (dinner + 1 drink/1 beer for two $100), and good service in a converted old home. Why not 5 Stars…service was a bit disjointed and slow, loud dining area, bringing out my daughters dish with mashed potatoes (pork chop dish) when we discussed over and over again gluten and dairy dietary issues and said no mashed potatoes.”

“Great burritos definitely the best you will find in Salado. I always get the steak burrito with everything and it’s always plenty of food for me. I get the spicy salsa and it’s the best salsa you will ever have super spicy and if you have a weak stomach like me it will run through you but 100 percent worth it.”
