Made a quick stop on my way to visit my mom and tried their hot Gingerbread Chai and I have to tell you it was out of this world 🌍 and blows a more well known competitor's version out of the water. I wish I lived closer so I could stop by Muscovy every day for a drink. You won't be disappointed !

I used the drive-thru to get a hot chai latte, 12 ounce, which is their large. My drink with tax it cost 6 1/2 dollars. The temperature was very good. It was definitely a hot beverage, so if you’re sensitive to temperature, you might wanna let yours cool down before you drink it. The flavor, however, was more spice than tea. In my personal opinion, you could taste very little of the black tea; the main flavors you get whenever you drink it are cinnamon, black pepper, and maybe some cardamom along with milk. So if you’re into spicy, hot milk that’s overpriced for the size, then this is your place.

I did take it home and let about half of it cool to make sure that the heat I was tasting wasn’t just the temperature. It was the spices. Even after cooling, you still didn’t taste much tea. I have tried several different tea blends for “chai” at home. They have come from Trader Joe’s, Central Market, Sprouts, and even Natural Groceries and most of the prepared teabags had a stronger taste of black tea in my opinion. I will say, it exceeds the mermaid coffee company and the pan bread place’s chai in actually having a flavor.

But who knows maybe this is your cup of tea 🙃

Muscovy has great locally roasted coffee! The baristas and coffee roaster, Kobe, were friendly. We will be back the next time we are in town.
