Provecho Reviews
Slow service. I believe we had three waiters as each wandered off. The final waiter was pretty good but the other kids really need more training. The food was not bad and some interesting variations on standard TexMex. Multiple items were not available, either they had run out or the item was discontinued. In one case the waiter tried to argue they didn't serve such an item until we had to show them on the menu. I wouldn't recommend nor would I return.
Stopped in on our way back to DFW. Staff was great! Friendly, attentive, and full of information about the town.
Food was fantastic. Be sure to stop by!

Provecho is a restaurant that offers a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful patio area, creating a charming spot in the heart of Salado. Currently, it operates as a BYOB establishment until it obtains its liquor license. The menu features a variety of interesting breakfast options with unique combinations, showcasing some interesting variations on standard TexMex. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced, though some items may not always be available.
The staff is exceptionally friendly, with the host being particularly welcoming. However, there have been some concerns about slow service and a lack of training among some waitstaff. Customers have enjoyed the chips and salsa, as well as the queso. The Austin Bowl, featuring pineapple chicken and pork, is a recommended dish. Provecho is an excellent spot to enjoy queso and drinks on their patio, which has gorgeous surroundings and even a bouncy house for the kiddos.
Overall, Provecho is a welcoming and enjoyable dining destination, with a commitment to catering to various dietary needs, offering keto and carnivore-friendly options in their bowls. Customers have praised the restaurant's kindness, with one reviewer recalling a memorable Thanksgiving experience when Provecho welcomed them in and refused to accept payment.
