the brisket and ribs are great and the penny beer is good. just not enough hotel rooms to rest before the long drive home
Great events, my wife and I went for the first time, last Saturday 26 July for the salsa tasting contest, it must have been over 30 different salsas, they were all good and some were great, it was a great awesome environment, friendly atmosphere, two live music bands, good food and I got to meet and talk to alot of veteran brothers and sisters in arms, place was full of friendly people and staff, we'll be going back August the 2nd for the BBQ event.
just to have fun and excellent opportunity to take the family together 🌹

Cornudas Cafe is a hidden gem along the route between Carlsbad, NM and El Paso, TX. Despite being in a soft opening, the menu offers delicious options like burgers and breakfast burritos. The cute atmosphere adds to the experience, although some tables may be lop-sided. Visitors in early May 2024 enjoyed fantastic food, including a club sandwich and breakfast burrito. The cafe is a much-needed oasis in the desert, with a lot of great history attached to it. The store is really cute, with lots of interesting items and a fun decoration of cowboy legs under the tables that look like they are holding up the tabletop. The atmosphere is very laid back and friendly, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a good meal. Despite some less friendly staff members, most visitors find the place welcoming and highly recommend stopping by. It’s a great spot between El Paso and Carlsbad to eat, unwind, and experience the local history.
