Was wondering if photo was sent by customer as to what you expected on the king of spades cake . I thought the Spade looked like a spade and the King looked like a king. Did you like it when you picked it up if not then I'm sure they would have made it right . Don't look at the negative reviews because this is an awesome place . Negative always over powers the positive. Keep up the good work guys .

DISAPPOINTED to say the least. I asked for a King of Spades cake for my son’s 18th birthday. It is lopsided with dented icing that is hanging over more on one edge than the other, the border is some sort of inconsistent beading, the Ks don’t match, the “spades” don’t look like spades, the “rectangle” in the middle is uneven and piece-y. This is not what I would expect from a professional bakery, and certainly not for such a small cake for $65. THE CAKE: ARTISTRY/DESIGN: EXTREMELY BELOW AVERAGE. TASTE & TEXTURE = GREAT.

Cake was done in a rush. Buttercream was not spread out correctly and very lumpy. Had a horrible stench which is extremely odd. We did not get what we asked for at all. Save you money and go somewhere

This is a very nice old-school bakery. Good cake to frosting ratio, very nice service with people who are happy to answer questions. I really appreciate a cake place that allows me to come in and buy some out of the case items. This was a very nice addition to our visit in the area, even brought some home for the rest of the family. The seasonal cupcakes (eggnog and peppermint) we got on this visit were very enjoyable. Would highly recommend a stop in if you happen to be in the downtown area.

Just wanted to say Thank You to Halfmann's for a beautiful and delicious cake. I ordered a cake for a small family gathering to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. The cake was perfect for the occasion! Beautifully decorated and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from Halfmann's the next time I need a special cake.

Loved how this place was years ago, but things change. Man at counter taking our order was rude and rude to the other employees. I tried to lighten up the situation for the sake of my kids being around but he was not wanting to respond or really communicate with us in anyway. Always loved the cakes and sweets here but this was a real turn off. I hope our cake comes out better then the customer service and how employees are treated.

Oue whole family lives in San Angelo and when we come to visit it's a special occasion. It's been years since we came here but remember how good everything tasted in the past. The Italian cream cake was gone so we purchased a chocolate cake. What a disappointed!! Anyone who raves about this place must not have much to compare against because the chocolate cake was dry and tasteless. What happened to this place? I will never return for high priced mediocrity!
