Hidalgo's West offers delicious Guiso plates and Mundo dishes, although some items may need improvement. The food is excellent and made in a timely manner, with great service from attentive waitstaff. Prices are unbeatable, and many customers appreciate the fast service. The restaurant has a tight parking situation, but the interior design is pleasing, despite some tables and chairs feeling a little outdated. The tea could be better due to water quality issues, and while the overall initial odor and somewhat grimy appearance did not invite initial confidence, the food remains a highlight. Despite minor flaws, Hidalgo's West is a wonderful place to dive into rich Mexican traditions and is a nice stop for a meal.
