By far, the best Mexican food restaurant in town!! Quick and friendly service every time! Their food is simply and amazingly delicious no matter what you order. It can get super busy, especially during the lunch hour, but the wait is well worth it! You will not be disappointed.

I was really surprised at how AMAZING their meat was. Between the fajitas, the beef fajita quesadillas and the cheeseburger, all their beef is seasoned expertly and cooked to perfection. It's not often that one particular ingredient jumps out so fervently from the others that I need to mention it in a review.Their service was great and the entire room felt like family members. Loved this experience!

Nice place on the south end, old part of San Angelo. Very clean and well kept. If you like a leaning towards authentic Mexican food and some spice this is your place. Make sure and question waitress about intensity of heat! lol. They can tone it down for you!

This is one of my fav small town restaurants- home made food. Service is always pleasant- very nice staff but that might just be the small town feel. The steaks and chicken fried steak or chicken fingers have been my favorite as they remind me of all the food growing up here. You can't get food like this anywhere else. Plus the prices are thankfully still reasonable as it seems prices are going up everywhere. You get a real good meal for what an extra large combo costs you at a major food chain. Plus, they give you complimentary salsa and a salsa bean dip w chips - my kids devour it before our food gets in. The ambiance is small and feels country- I personally love it. True Gem San Angelo! Out of towners stop here it's 100% worth it. You'll find something you love.

Best steak we had in San Angelo. Service was awesome and the waitresses were so helpful. Very laid back atmosphere and affordable pricing! We had a group of 6 and it was busy but our food came out fast and the people were so nice. Can't wait to go back.

Great food. Though known for their steaks the rest of the menu is delicious. I had Chile Rellenos. The peppers were crisp and fresh. Most Rellenos are soggy cut them with a fork. Not at El Paisano's, so crisp I needed a knife, delicious and full of flavor. You can bring your own wine another plus.I'll go back to steak next time I'm in.

We dined in Feb 2024 with family. The food looked amazing but the amount of salt added to every item made it very difficult to eat. I see other reviews indicate the same issue. Wish we could return but cannot unless the salt issue is resolved.

Great food, nice people and not expensive. The guiso, the steak tips and the steak a la mexicana are the best.Parking: Lots of parking but get there early because they draw a crowd at lunch. They are open at 10 for breakfast so you can get there early for lunch.

Great food, reasonable prices! The atmosphere isn't too much to rant about, seems crowded at times (because food is good). Service is average but they seem to slip when things get busy. I do recommend coming here for lunch specials, but be prepared for a small wait.
