This is a Military DFAC. They're basically designed to be mediocre slop factories. Don't go to a DFAC expecting a dining experience - it is designed to fill the need for nutrition for a thousand soldiers and nothing more. Food will be overpriced sometimes, and low quality most times. However, some of their food is excellent:

Clean, plenty of cashiers, tons of choices to choose from. Fruits, veggies, proteins and drink options are amazing!
Good food quality compared to Camp Lejeune , Marines I am sorry if you get stationed there. Food here is overall above average quality for a mess hall, but is outshined by the other facilities on base. There is also a strong odor by the entrances in the morning, not sure what causes this but it can’t be good.

Westernwinds Dining Facility offers a homey atmosphere with friendly ethnic staff. The fashion of the clientele may not be on point, and some menu items like fries and fish are not recommended. Despite occasional ingredient shortages, the food is decent with fresh salads being a highlight.
