This place has really good barbeque. The sandwiches are really filling, and the beans and mac & cheese were delicious. They are pet friendly and have a huge play area for the kids. Definitely recommend. The only critique the youngest had was that there were no fries or chips as a side choice. So check out the menu before you go if your kids are picky eaters. Or just leave them with the sitter.

Good sandwiches, excellent service! I wish the Brisket was more tender. There's a playground outside, so it's good for bringing your kids to run around

Great BBQ, highly recommend the Big Tex Sandwich which has everything but the beans which you can get as a side. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Facility has a large kids play ground so very family friendly as well as a place for adults. Definitely a positive development to Government Hill.

We had a wonderful lunch here! BBQ and drinks were great. LOVED that they had a play set for the kids, our toddlers loved it.

Inviting atmosphere. The food was good. Will definitely be returning especially when they have live music. The buffalo trace sweet tea was awesome❤❤. The fire pit was relaxing ?

Subpar bbq restaurant. Brisket was cold and fatty. Sauces not great. Mac and cheese was dry. There are better options.

Great Barbecue with a great outdoor space. Even short staffed on a Friday my food arrived quickly and with a genuine feeling of being welcomed. I will definitely return

This is a great little place. The parking isn't the best. The beans are amazing! Brisket is good, but the peach glazed ribs are the best. They have 3 different sauces. The cucumber ranch water is very good.

This place has the best beans I've ever had. Order those beans!! We also had brisket, ribs, and Mac and cheese. The Mac is pretty darn good and the brisket and ribs are good as well. But the unsung hero was those beans. Soo good!! The atmosphere is really cool, think I saw they had a swing set or or something for the kids to play on. Dog friendly. Good spot.

Cool little outdoor spot in the Government Hill area next to the Pearl. Spacious outdoor seating area with a backyard homie feel. Friendly and professional staff. Good spot to get some bbq or just grab a cold beer in a relaxing atmosphere. You can see them smoking meats in the on-site stick burner. Live band on Saturdays. Parking is on the street and can be adventurous.

What a treat! We are from Nashville, TN and we went looking for authentic Texan bbq and found Alamo. We went on a beautiful evening and there was live music. It was just perfect. I ordered a Limonada and it comes with a popsicle in it! Cute and refreshing. The rim of my cup had Chamoy on it which I was not expecting. We don’t have Chamoy in TN and I didn’t love that but I just used a straw and bypassed it! My niece ordered a Blackberry Cider and my husband had the Tres Agaves Margarita. All were excellent. For dinner I had the chopped beef frito pie with Sour Cream, Cheese & Chives. It was fabulous! Intended as an appetizer but I made it my meal. My husband ordered 1/2 pound peach glazed baby back ribs, 1/2 pound beef brisket, and 1 smoked sausage. He also ordered the baked beans and macaroni and cheese. I tried everything on his plate and it was worth the trip! The brisket was my fave but it was all excellent. One of our nieces ordered the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese and mustard potato salad. She ate every bite. I personally didn’t love the baked beans. They were good but not my favorite flavors happening there. The macaroni and cheese is TOP NOTCH!! The potato salad was good, but different. It was milder than I expected. My other niece ordered a child’s plate and got 1/4 pound turkey. She declared it fabulous. For dessert we had the peach cobbler and it came with 3!! scoops of vanilla ice cream. So good! The staff were all friendly and our server, Sarah, was awesome! Thanks for a great dinner!

No parking, poor menu choices, bbq sauce is consistency of water. Poor service, asked for pepper, paper towels. Nothing Sandwich came dry no sauce as stated on the menu. For bbq stops this rates a 2.
