Why would you order a specialty cake from anyone else? Betty Jane’s Bakeshoppe has consistently prepared the best cakes for our special occasions.

We ordered a custom cake from Betty Jane’s Bakeshoppe for my daughter’s birthday, and the process started off great. Amanda was helpful and kind, and the cake itself was beautiful—you could tell a lot of care and creativity went into it.

Unfortunately, the fondant rainbow element broke. It snapped right where the support ended, which felt like a flaw in how it was built. The rest of the cake was fine and tasted great, but the whole party was rainbow and unicorn themed, so it was disappointing to lose the rainbow decorative feature before the celebration even started.

When I picked it up, the person who handed it to me joked not to go fast over speed bumps (which I didn’t), but nothing about the risk or fragility of the design was mentioned during planning. If I had known it was such a delicate structure—especially for a four-year-old’s party—I would have asked for guidance on a better design. They also mentioned at pickup that this was the first time he’d done a full rainbow like that. I just wish someone had flagged that it might not hold up well, so we could’ve adjusted the design or reinforced it better.

At $270, I expected more durability, especially for a key decorative element. I really appreciate the talent and flavor, but I’d recommend future clients talk in detail about what designs are realistic and well-supported, especially for kids’ cakes where excitement and movement are part of the day.

Betty Jane’s has been making my family’s cakes for 10 years. Every single time I am asked where the cake is from, because they are absolutely delicious and so beautiful. Excellent prices as well. Best custom cakes in SA for sure!

Our tasting was super informative when it came to helping us determine what we needed for our guest count and we loved all the variety offered. On the day of our event, the cake was absolutely perfect—not only was it exactly like our inspiration photos but also incredibly delicious! Every detail was executed with care, making our special day even sweeter.

I've ordered cakes from other bakeries and would be disappointed each time with the flavors and fillings. Let me tell you, I searched and searched for a cake bakery and read reviews. I found Betty Jane's and looked at their website and seen their flavors of cakes and fillings and whoa, let me tell you, they top anyone with so many choices. It's so hard to find banana flavor cake and filling and Betty Jane's had it and on top of that, they made it all homemade and not that nasty fake flavoring.
They decorated it exactly how I wanted it... To the T!!! Sent pictures, explained how I wanted the words and they delivered. My daughter showed me the design she wanted as she felt exactly how Squidward looked from all the hard work from studying so much. Definitely will be ordering from Betty Jane's again!!! Thank you so much Betty Jane's, you guys did amazing and the cake was delicious.

OMG! 1 million out of 1 million stars. I brought a few inspiration photos and was open to the design. They said they could do exactly this cake and it blew everyone away! We almost didn’t cut it, it was so gorgeous. I couldn’t believe it! Also, sooooo delicious! If we could order a cake a month for a special occasion from Betty Jane’s, we absolutely would!
