The only recommendation I would make is to offer some complimentary dessert sample for special occasions especially since it is a higher priced restaurant. We have always felt very appreciative when a restaurant values special occasions.

Entrees; duck foie gras was definitely a winner, but two of us got swordfish and were disappointed with the unbelievable amount of salt. Shared a butter cake for dessert that was good. Nice wine selection with an array of price points for all palates and wallets. Thoughtful beer selection by can and bottle. No spirits. Definitely a great spot, but avoid the swordfish.

We recently moved to San Antonio and this was our first fine dining experience in our new city. We ordered the Chef's Tasting menu with wine pairings in order to try multiple dishes. The food was elevated and creative, even though I know we were enjoying many of the restaurant's “greatest hits” that the kitchen has prepared every night for years. The service was equally impressive - I spent my career in luxury retail and cannot help but watch everything that happens in a service business. From the hostess and managers, to our wonderful server and the team that supported her, it was a fun meal with top-notch yet very relaxed service - exactly our style and we cannot wait to go back.

We had chef's specials: a ribeye steak and watermelon salad. Superb! Corn fritters performed true to public acclaim! The service was constant though never interruptive: as good a balancing act as I've experienced! I know now why Bliss receives all the accolades!

Nice date night spot. Food was amazing, great selection of wine. We came after a friend suggested it, and we were a tiny bit disappointed it was a wine bar, no cocktails. Service could have been a little more attentive but otherwise we definitely enjoyed our date.

We split the octopus appetizer and it was almost a work of art, as well as being delicious and special.
