Price is steep at $7 a cupcake but more of an issue they are stale. And I mean STALE. Plus the strawberry lemon curd has some sort of “soft” stuff in the middle and even if it was a vegan lemon curd it didn’t have any lemon flavour. The strawberry frosting was actually really really good. Pizza place 2 doors down is fantastic---skip desert from here. Customer service was average.

The employees are nice and some of the donuts are really good but there is no phone number no website and no way to see what donuts they have or are out of. I wasted in total an hour of gas because I went in and they didn’t have any donuts I wanted. This has happened multiple times before and just makes me not want to come back
Update:
I asked them “How do I call” “How do I see what y’all have today?” on their instagram page, whoever owns this business thought that was disrespectful and blocked my account and went out of their way to look up and block my second account that has a similar username. This is so far out there crazy behavior I am stunned
love the donuts and kolaches!! oh yea the poptarts are amazing too. i need to go back and try the breakfast tacos
I've come here a few times and I'm just smitten with this place! The baked goods are sooo amazing. These vegan donuts put all other to shame. I haven't had a Kolache in so long it was really awesome to find a vegan Kolache and it was so freaking good!

Nothing I've tried here reflects the price you'll pay for it. Perhaps the rent and overhead is the real cause for the prices? I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone, unfortunately. There's a lot of competition out here in San Antonio, and it won't be hard to find a place to spend your money on baked goods that are more worth the price they're asking.

I've never had vegan donuts or coffee before today, and I'm sure they made them about as well as they could have been made. Still doesn't compare to the real thing.

You can rave about anything and everything but our family absolutely loves the Boston cream donuts 😍 and if you haven't tried the strawberry matcha, RUN! It's so good, light and refreshing and just tastes like summer.

Ordered a custom cake for my daughter‘s birthday, communication was exceptional leading up to pick up day. Cake was exactly what I wanted. Price was steep, but expected with it being a vegan custom cake. We were told there was no need to refrigerate the cake as it was vegan. Great care was made to transport the cake to my daughter‘s birthday party the following morning. No major highways were taken, no sudden turns. The cake completely collapsed. There were no supports within the cake even though it was three layers. I had to try to put the cake back together as best I could. I sent the bakery pictures and notification and letting them know that in the future, they should consider adding supports to Multi layer cakes. Customers pay a lot of money for these beautiful cakes and it would be wonderful to be able to enjoy them the way they were intended. I never received a response back.
The flavor was extremely sweet, but delicious. Unfortunately, I would probably not order a custom cake from the bakery in the future.

My son has multiple food allergies (egg, dairy, peanut, cashew) and it was wonderful to discover this place. He said that the donut was “way better than I ever expected” which is quite the compliment 😁
For those navigating food allergies, I still recommend asking about each individual item’s ingredients as there are several with almond / pistachio etc. I have a gluten sensitivity so I was unable to partake.
Thanks for providing delicious treats for the vegan/food allergy community!

Cake Thieves Bakery is one of the best spots I’ve ever been to. Javier’s customer service was warm and genuine, which made the visit even better. The vegan jalapeño sausage kolache was insanely good perfectly soft, flaky, and packed with flavor. The donuts were fresh and hit the spot with just the right amount of sweetness. Everything tasted homemade and full of love. If this place were in every city, it would be my go to without a doubt, but even being local, it’s easily my favorite bakery to visit.
