Absolutely wonderful dining experience. the moment we walked in we were greeted by Shana who was so welcoming and friendly. Carla our waitress was extremely attentive and followed up during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking and came back to refill beverages. She explained the menu and made wonderful suggestions. Tania stopped by our table to greet us and to offer dining suggestions as well. She enticed us and made it so much more difficult to make a decision so for a table of 4 we ordered the nachos, tuna totopos , queso, guacamole and then my husband ordered the grilled fish, and 2 of us had the barbacoa tacos and another person had the chicken enchiladas. We also had 3 desserts! EVERYTHING was exquisite! I have never had better barbacoa! It is tender and absolutely perfectly seasoned! The chicken in the enchiladas was also beautifully seasoned. I would have just loved it on a salad ! My husband LOVED the fish and sauce and the white rice and the salad/dressing.We are in town from Dallas and will be going back before we leave! Please open Carriqui in Dallas/Plano ... We had one little hick-up which didn't matter much to me because I did not need the tortillas but the corn tortillas fell apart when we went to pick them up! We ate the tacos with a fork. Suggest that be addressed but other than that everything was perfection! We will be back before we head home!

Don't forget to ask for the cafe de olla it's as good as you can get one in Mexico a little too sweet for me milk does the trickThe beer on tap was great Ale niño was great

This place was an awesome find. The atmosphere was so relaxing. Honestly, the cleanest bathrooms I have ever used at any public place. The brisket tacos and quail were so amazing. Everything was full of flavor. Our server Jose was so nice and helpful and was on top of everything. Seemed like he really cared about our experience.

Mediocre food & very loud. Nice place but the basic offering of food and drinks were mediocre, not inventive, and lacked flavor, fire, spice, salt? Idk...the ceviche and guac were bland, snapper was fishy, shrimp were undercooked, margarita was basic, birria was OK. The hibiscus sorbet was delicious but the churros also disappointed. We don't complain because we want to experience without fussing. Not what I expected from all the praise I'd heard.There is an elevator. Good luck hearing the person sitting across from you. It is excessively noisy and not at all a relaxing dinner experience. Wish it were a different experience for us but lots of people seem to like it.

Despite this resturant not being authentic Mexican food, it is pretty tasty for what it has to offer. I think the layout is nice, but misleading to what it sells for food. Not a complaint, I just wanted to make that clear. I definitely would come back! Fajitas were seasoned very nicely as well ??

The food is wonderfully done. Just as an FYI it is a blend of smoked, barbecue and southern food. Food is great but if you don’t like smoky flavors or barbecue or southern food, you probably won’t like this. The margaritas are fantastic.

We had heard a lot about Carriqui restaurant and took the opportunity to go tonight when friends came into town. The food and service did not disappoint. Can’t wait to go back to try other dishes. Our server gave us a history of the restaurant and name and was very knowledgeable of the menu. The drinks didn’t disappoint either.
