we love Casa Rio! Every time we visit San Antonio, it is one of our stops for lunch or dinner or both! We also love Ricky, our waiter we request every visit! Ricky is friendly and stays on top of our orders making sure we have a great experience every time! The food is always good and very plentiful! And we love the history of Casa Rio!
I was so disappointed in this restaurant. I wanted to go because everytime we came to san antonio people rave about it. we finally got in to eat, and the food was equivalent to taco bell. all the meals were only warm not hot. the beans looked like they came straight out of a can, not to mention the chips were like eating tostitos. I was so disappointed. dinner was $100 for 5 people and we walked out not full at all because we could not finish it. Definitely do NOT recommend.
I wanted to eat here because of its reputation and historical significance, not to mention family owned. Extremely disappointed with the service. Took forever to get an extra plate when already said we were sharing. She never came back to check on us until the bill.
