Sweet tea is mid. Do NOT eat here, I feel bad for Chris Madrid. Whoever carried his legacy needs to shut this place down

Incredibly disappointed with the amount of nachos given to me, this did NOT meet my expectations when I payed 5 dollars for a half meal. Something that expensive should at least include more food. I recommend to not buy the nachos when you come here because it is a rip off. Otherwise this environment is very exceptional and welcoming, and the food is very rich in flavor, but half meals are barely affordable for such a little amount. I suggest that this issue is fixed, because it is so disappointing to receive a quantity below expectations. I REALLY want to continue going here, BUT I might have to start going to other restaurants instead to get the more for the same price. I’m sorry but it HAS to be fixed.

After a long strenuous walk in downtown sa i felt famished and craved nachos from this here iconic chris madrids on blanco road. I was surprised to see merely four nachos on my plate. I am deeply and utterly disappointed. I find it unfathomable that these so called “nachos” are sold at such a preposterous price. This is ludicrous. I demand a recount on your nacho proportions and will settle for las palapas while you resolve this issue.

Food is super delicious and great service, however I payed $5 for my nachos, just to get majorly disappointed when 6 chips appeared infront of my face. This is outrageous and that price needs to be lowered or raise the quantity of chips provided. Overall amazing experience, I am just so unsatisfied with this, I feel scammed. Please fix this issue.

It’s been a while that my husband and I been to Chris Madrid’s. It was a bit of a disappointment. First the cashier was rude. I greet him with a smile and said hello to him. He barely spoke back to me and had a smirk on his face like he rather be elsewhere. My husband said I shouldn’t have tip but I told him that the cooks and waitresses/ waiters shouldn’t be punished because of the attitude of the cashier. He agreed. Secondly, the cheese burgers were dry. So disappointing. A lot of bun with thin dry patty. The fries had a good texture even though it tasted like old potatoes . Maybe it was an off day for the staff since it was a Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday. I miss the delicious juicy cheese burgers.

The burgers, nachos and tostadas are all really good. The salsa is also surprisingly good, which is why it was a bit baffling that they didn't offer chips with it.
The fries were a good try but a fail. You can tell they use fresh potatoes and want to make good fries but they don't do the proper prep work. This results in bland, soft, floppy, soggy fries. We bought a large and ate maybe 10 fries. We had already paid due to their set up and never even saw our waiter again.
The atmosphere is fun and festive though. Without good fries or other side options, I'm not sure we'll be back even though the burgers and Mex fare were very good
