I went at 945pm my kids like the food here I hate coming here because the customer service sucks but they insisted we go n eat there favorite foods. Our waitress didn’t ask if we wanted to go cups she just gave it to us which we didn’t even take them to go… I just thought it’s almost closing they don’t wanna wash cups…..We ordered pork chop plate w/1 extra Porkchop an enchilada plate and a Porkchop taco. When the order came out it was fresh and smelled delicious except the pork chops had ranchera salsa on them I wasn’t aware ranchera salsa came on top of Porkchop plate and the waitress didn’t mention it so I had told her that we didn’t want ranchera sauce on it n if we could get the 3 pork chops plain…. She didn’t give us enough napkins only 4, she didn’t understand English much and my Spanish ain’t good but it gets me by so when it was time to pay I mentioned it to the lady at the register my order was wrong n that I would pay for the pork chops that were plain as a plate since my son had eaten the rice n beans with his plain pork chops… but they didn’t even give me a discount the lady at the register and the waitress didn’t understand what I was saying… and they were talking like I was stupid… i think they should put someone who is bilingual at the register just so other people don’t get screwed over. Or at least someone who knows English in the building.

This place charges extra for fajita meat and sells u auja. 2$ an item I most add ..they lie to one that doesn't know any better..not the place to be at or waste ur money..the chille relleno of carne is iof chilli beans I think ...not what we ordered ..this place sucks to be honest ...they took my meal off and she still paid 22 bucks just for her plate..

This place has excellent service lunch specials are really affordable and not to pricey everything on the menu is really great especially there steaks very tender seasoned to perfection if ever hungry try the lunch special 😋

Small mom and pops place. Don't let the outside fool you. Food and personnel are great. Food is very like Mexican home cooked the way I remember. Ill keep going here.

I have lived off of Walzem road since 1981 and I have seen many restaurants come and go thru the years. I hope El Mocajete Mexican Restaurant stas in business for many more years. The food is absolute Tex-Mex and delicious, the atmosphere like being in Mexico. As for the servers, they are mostly a turner over group as with most restaurants, and they have good days and bad. So sorry for those who have had bad experiences but without your whining the whole restaurants atmosphere is much improved. Stay away so there is more food for me.

They have the best Barbacoa tacos in the world and I cannot leave out the papa Ranchera because these tacos are amazing!!
My parents used to go to this restaurant and now I know why, and kids will ask you. what is a molcajete, lol

Great service quick and good food and TORTILLAS are amazing. Looks like made in the restaurant. All great just the RR is rufffff. Other than that I mean if they can make that look alil more not so 💀 it's a 9/10 🙌🏽

Everything we ate was absolutely perfect. We got nachos, a quesadilla and the barbacoa plate. All the meat had amazing flavor. The tortillas and chips were so good and the wild cactus they had with the barbacoa was such a compliment. We wanted to eat every speck but couldn't manage it- we will have delicious leftovers!
