I've been here 3 times, the first time I reallllyyy liked it. The second was pretty good, too, but the 3rd was probably a horrible experience for me and my family. The food is good, but the wait can take forever !! We waited like an hour for our food. The service was slow, and I was super confused when the server thought it was their job to add a tip to our pay! A $30 tip? For slow service? That's a little weird. The prices jumped from $8-$12 a plate to $12-$25 a plate, and they still thought to add their own tip? The atmosphere was okay. You'd be lucky to be seated where there is no loud family because the voices seem to travel sometimes. The food is good, the service is wonky, and the prices are high I'd say for you to just pick your poison and watch your receipt.

Honestly I only have beautiful memories of this place. My sister who's in heaven now and my mom who's also in heaven ?❤️? , gave me the pictures of great memories going to this restaurant, at the time I was 8 to 10 years old I'm now 49 years old now and I still think it's the best place for Seafood if you like homemade cooking and grateful serving employees.

Chips and salsa were great. My wife enjoyed her 10 oz. Portion of salmon and vegetables. I enjoyed my fried fish and shrimp and so did our friend. The shrimp and octopus soup was pretty good but could be better. For the prices I think we should of been served more rice and salad. The place could use an upgrade on the inside and out. From the outside it looks abandoned. On our way there my wife passed it up and when we arrived my wife said it's no longer open. It closed down. On the inside they need better tables that are sturdy and not wobbly and uneven. Overall it was our first time. The waitress provided good service. The food was pretty good. We shall return and I do recommend El 7 Mares.

Parking: Plenty of parking. You can park behind the restaurant, on the left side, across the street on the right side and on the street on the right side.

I searched this place on google maps looking for a good michelada ( Red Beer ).Parking is located in the back or curbside I wouldn’t recommend leaving anything valuable because it is a high traffic area for homeless people but they didn’t bother us at all. There’s a park across the street that seems family friendly and gives it a better view…The food was very good I can’t complain at all. The restaurant was very spacious but it was a little hot since they had the fans off and we sat by the window making it a little claustrophobic on a 80 degree day so don’t take a jacket or you’ll start sweating.I ordered the ceviche with octopus I think siete mares and it was very clean and not fishy or rubbery it had a perfect balance of lime and salt. While we waited for our main entrees they brought us chips and salsa with a yummy beef or shrimp type of broth that hit the spot.We also ordered a michelada that was very good just a tad overpriced if ur wanting to have more than one it will get pricey I would say this deserves five starts and would get it if they had homemade tortillas I don’t think any authentic Mexican restaurant should ever offer store bought tortillas that’s just my opinion.

Parking: Lock your car and try to park as close as possible

Very ugly, the fish broth was very dark and had pieces of meat. It is the first time I have seen a fish broth with meat. I know that in North Carolina it is served with egg. But here in Texas. Fish is fish. Good luck on your visit.
