Always excellent. All 6s for ratings if I could. I worry posting a ‘SUPERB’ rating would expose San Antonio’s best kept secret for so many years.

Me and wife just touchdown in San Antonio, where we decided to drive around. So we decided to get something to eat before we hit the mall. I saw Ernesto's restaurant on Google map, but it was the ratings that made me decide to take chance. I had to say from the second we walked in, Ernesto made us feel welcomed, the restaurant was very clean. Ernesto made us feel as if he was catering for us alone, the Food was amazing, the price are very reasonable. We had appetizer, entree and desert. When we return to San Antonio, i will definetly come back for this amazing meat, amazing service and amazing atmosphere.

I was extremely disappointed by my experience ordering pickup here. The online menu advertised both the Flautas de Pollo and Green Chicken Enchiladas plates at $11.95 each, but when I picked up the order I was charged $34.98 total instead.

When I called afterward to ask about the difference, I was told the website prices have apparently not been updated since COVID because they no longer have access to update the menu. I could maybe understand inaccurate pricing lasting a few weeks or even a few months during a difficult period, but SIX years is completely unreasonable. At some point, continuing to leave outdated lower prices online stops sounding like an innocent mistake and starts sounding like the business knowingly turning a blind eye while customers are surprised with significantly higher prices at pickup. Most people reasonably assume the prices shown online are at least somewhat accurate before placing an order.

The employee explained the plates are now around $15 each and offered a free dessert, but there was still no real attempt to honor the advertised pricing or meaningfully correct the situation.

The food itself was fine, but transparency matters. If the actual prices are much higher, the online menu should have been corrected years ago instead of continuing to mislead customers. Probably will not be returning.

This is ni hole in the wall even though it's in a strip mall. The service is excellent and friendly and the food is it of this world. The flavors are so delicious and there are a variety of sauces you can choose from. If you want a higher class Mexican meal in a clean and pleasant environment, you should definitely go to Ernesto's. I'll be back for sure.
