I can't really speak to the food, as well only had appetizers, but they were good. The serving sizes were respectable for the $.

It is a bar 1st and foremost, so quiet isn't something you should expect. However even with a game on, we were able to hold a conversation without yelling.

Food came out undercooked and not properly heated, and the pizza was doughy. When we brought it up, the staff seemed more upset with us than concerned about fixing the issue. They did give a refund, but the attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable. Probably won’t return, there are better spots in San Antonio for American food.

Our server was great and the food was delicious but my issue with this place was the trivia. We came for twilight trivia and it was very unorganized. We weren’t expecting it to take that long and it ended up lasting over 3 hours. And the moderator was extremely rude. He admitted to not knowing anything about twilight, which is fine, but when he would ask confusing/misworded questions, he would get frustrated with people trying to defend their answers. He was cursing into the microphone, making inappropriate jokes, and telling people he didn’t care if there were issues with the scores. We dealt with all that in the heat for 3 hours, and couldn’t even be scored correctly. Wont be coming back.

Trivia night is the bomb!

My wife and I have been coming to this spot for a while now—usually for the solid food and great beer lineup—but this time we came for trivia too, and it was packed. We hit up their Twilight Trivia night on Thursday, July 24 at 6 PM, and I don't think I've ever seen the place this crowded. There were 55 teams playing. No joke. Thankfully we showed up early around 5, grabbed a table, and settled in before the chaos.

The trivia host, Chris (not Seth), was friendly, clear, and kept things moving without being annoying or over-the-top—big win. It was busy, but the vibe stayed laid back. Staff handled it well. Our server, Nella, was fantastic—super patient, kind, and upfront about what was in stock and what wasn’t. That goes a long way.

Beer selection is always top-notch. Rotating taps, cans, bottles, ciders, seltzers; whatever your thing is, they've probably got it (except the spirits). I’m a fan of the $5 beer deals: Texas drafts on Sundays, everything on draft is $5 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Hard to beat that. They’ve also got a cool setup with plates on the ceiling honoring people who’ve tried 200+ beers. It’s that kind of place: local, fun, no pretense.

The food holds its own too. We’ve never had a bad meal here, and the kitchen turns out solid lunch specials during the week. On weekends, you might catch some live music, and the menu shifts a bit during football season to fit the mood. Speaking of football, this place is made for it. Tons of screens, great energy, and easy to settle in for a few hours.

Bottom line: this is the kind of bar you come back to. Whether you're in the mood for trivia, beers, burgers, or just a chill night out, this place delivers. We’ll definitely be back, again and again.

Absolutely loooove the C.F. Chicken Sandwich! The ciders are great and the waiters/waitresses are always friendly and helpful esp if you have questions about any of the drinks! Cool spot to hang with friends and family. Also, they host trivia nights
GO “NEW MOON, WHO DIS?” 😂

Flying Saucer San Antonio is a must-visit for any craft beer lover.

The beer selection is incredible, from local Texas brews to rare rotating taps.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they’re happy to help you find something based on your taste. Ask for a sample if you're unsure!

Food-wise, their pretzels and bratwurst pair perfectly with a pint. If you're looking for an appetizer to split consider the carne asada fries.

If you enjoy the saucer consider joining the UFO Club — it’s a fun way to track your beer-drinking journey and get some bragging rights along the way.

Go here for trivia every Tuesday, so much fun and great host that engages the crowd. Food is amazing (except that they took off the black and blue sandwich 😭), it’s never been a let down or badly prepared. Service is always on top of making sure water is topped off and everyone has a drink to enjoy the game. Try to sit outside when it isn’t too hot! Makes the experience much better!
