This is a beautiful restaurant and is frequented by a lot of regulars. This was my first time here so we had a bit of a hiccup at the beginning of our service. I had a reservation for 3 but one of my friends was running a few minutes late. We were immediately welcomed when we walked in and seated. The food was pretty good but could have used a little salt on the osso bucco and au gratin potatoes. The crab cake had a good amount of crab and a minimum amount of fillers. I didn't particularly care for the Ceasar salad because the dressing was overly fishy. The serving sizes are adequate. I hear they have a great happy hour so maybe I need to try that.

Excellent food and service.
The food was very good but our waitress terrible. She had a very unfriendly attitude the entire time, never checked on us and not once tried to interact with any on us. The other staff was good. Because of this we will probably never return

Frederick's Bistro never fails to deliver fine food and attentive service. We enjoyed the turkey omelette, parmesan crusted cod, and today's special fish. All were expertly prepared and presented.

Impeccable dining.
I visited the Bistro with a friend while I was traveling from Boston to San Antonio. It looks like an unassuming restaurant, but it's refined and pretty inside.
We had reservations. You should make reservations.
We were seated promptly and pleasantly.
My friend got the wedge salad and I got the Cæsar salad. Both were fresh, crisp, and chilled.
Next, my friend had crabcakes and I had the WC Parmesan-Encrusted Halibut. Both dishes were cooked by an expert chef and we were left stunned in amazement with our dining experience.
The owner went table-to-table greeting everyone. I chatted with him ever so briefly in my rusty French, but he was very gracious with my attempt to speak his native tongue.
Make sure you go. Make sure you have a reservation. You will thank me later.

Top down this is a premier restaurant in San Antonio. Food was fantastic, cooked perfectly, and service was quick. Could either slowly fine or be in and out quick, it's your choice.
I had a wonderful early bird dinner with friends. I had the mussels and chicken wraps, my friends ordered bone in ribs with fries, salad and Asian calamari with noodles. I had a nice Riesling from the specials list and an Old Fashioned which was not on the list. The service is great, friendly, attentive. Fun atmosphere. I will definitely return.
Wherever you eat it's well done i love that place
Great food and ambiance
Love the happy hour specials at Frederick's, great martini and wine prices as well as their excellent dishes. The dessert trio is a great ending to a fabulous meal. And get the fries, you won't regret it!
